    This is misplaced because, the 911R is not an RS.

    Furthermore, Andreas Preuninger has stated, there will not be another RS with a manual gearbox.

    A GT4, perhaps a 911R, but not an RS.

    Congratulations, but the 911 R is off-topic as far as this thread is concerned as it is not, and will never be, an RS.

    As I said elsewhere, the 911 R is yet another commemorative car (albeit like the GT4, with manual gearbox), much-different from the raw lightweight RS with full track-aero.

    As Andreas P says, "there will not be another manual-gearbox RS". What part of that statement some cannot accept, I'm not quite sure.

    Your statement here http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/144238123-post5372.html that "GT3 (RS) manual is coming" suggesting that the 911 R is an RS is both false & misleading.

    Someone should start a dedicated 911 R thread covering the original cars, and the new ones upcoming. There's an idea.

    Just thought you might want to know about a sports focussed car with a GT3 (RS) engine and a manual gearbox. Every dealer is supposed to get one, so maybe there's one around somewhere you could sign up for. Sorry if I hurt your feelings by informing people about it here, Joe.

    In 2010 Porsche competed in the 24H of Nurburgring with a street legal and street registered Porsche 997.2 GT3 RS.

    Here its is together with the equipment they've used to be correct with the regulations. The firefighting is the only one that misses from the photo!

    I think that car rests in the museum as it finished the race, dirty and beautiful!

    I watched that piece earlier today. I hate to say it, but as a huge Porsche fan who owns a GT3 and a McLaren, I do agree with his assessment.
