Hey Peter, can't do my oil change tomorrow, busted my back playing tennis. I don't think I can even get in and out of my car sadly. Will try to come anyway (driving something more easier to get in and out of) just to see some of you guys. So, if someone else needs to do an oil change on their car, there should be one oil change kit avaialble.

Sorry I missed the fun. I am still out of sorts after getting back from Europe last weekend. Spent the weekend indoors working on ARA (Autonomous Rabbit Annoyer RC).
Awesome time ! Peter thanks to you and Jennifer for allowing us to take over your garage! Great food great, great folks, great stooging! thanks Ricambi for the cap!
I got up at 3:30AM, packed up the yellow 348 Challenge, headed south to Stooge day from the Bay Area. Killed a bunch of windshield bugs, pushed the car hard. Had all kinds of fun, aiming to be there early. 350 miles later and only 30 miles from Peter's, the battery light went on. I knew I lost the alternator and I was hoping the battery would last until I get to Peter's. Within 10 minutes, CEL for both banks came on. I lost power and coasted to the side of I-5. Within minutes a CHP popped up behind me and offered to call AAA. The flatbed showed up, and the driver asked me where I want to go. I said "Sherman Oaks, I know where there are a bunch of mechanics." Well, I arrived at Peter's place with the Ferrari on a flatbed, first arrival too. Pete's wife got evidence video of me in my car being unloaded. Great mileage by the way. Bruce showed up with this tools, a bunch of belts, and we managed to get the alternator out. We got an Acura alternator from Pepboys that was supposed to be a guts donor for the Ferrari one, but it was not meant to be. After spending all day, we decided to get the F one rebuilt locally. Here is where the stooge brotherhood came in. FBB will be holding my car hostage in his garage on a lift (He promised to sell it only if he can get a good price for it). Plugzit will have my alternator rebuilt locally, and install it at FBB garage (while he is removing all the good bits from the Challenge car, and I have to buy them back on ebay in a week) Then, I will come back for the Indio stooge day to take the car out to the Chucky race track. The Ketel award has been duly passed on to its next recipient, me. Someone's got picture of the ceremony. Thanks to all the stooge brothers. A good time was had, a bad day was sort of saved. And a new fun day to look forward to. Thank you Peter and his wife for hosting again. Thanks to FBB for hosting my crippled car in his garage. Thanks to Plugzit for driving me around all day to Pepboys. Thanks to Ketel for a ride back to the Bay area. Priceless: Bruce and I were at the second Pepboy. I am talking to the first counter girl. Bruce was acting disinterested 3 feet away from me. The second counter girl came up and asked Bruce "do you have any questions?" To which Bruce replied "what is your phone number?" Priceless....
More photos guys! Sounds like everyone had a great time (even yelcab). Wish I could have joined you, but the seventy degree temps on the east coast were too hard to resist. Looking forward to race day at Chuckawalla. Henry
Mitchell What a day you had! I have a picture of Ketel "shooting" the Trophy I think Peter has a picture with you Image Unavailable, Please Login
So Peter started a new Stooge Policy. The person with the most messed up car, best story, or who gets voted in by the Stooges present to receive the "Ketel Award." It was Ketel's idea and Peter ran with it. For Backround for those who do not know Ketel has become a good mechanic started off knowing nothing about 355's except he had lots of CEL's and error codes. He solved them all and now has a smog legal California plate 355 the toughest hurdle to jump over in the Country. When Ketel arrived from the Bay area he received applause. Mitchel on the other hand showed up to Stoogapolluza on a flatbed tow truck! Tequila was poured and both had shots from the Ketel as JT passed the Ketel to Mitchel. One of the rules of Stooging is "never leave a Stooge behind." Despite great effort a stooge alternation was not possible. So to add insult to injury Mitchel road back in top down 355 style to the Bay area in the Ketel 355 with no CEL's! Plugzit is dealing with the failed alternator. I quickly welded up a tow hook and trailered the stricken 348C to my hose where it sits on my lift waiting for parts. What's that? It looks like the Ketel award. We will have Mitchel's 348C track ready for the November 7/8 Indio Stooge in and trackday. Image Unavailable, Please Login
What is that thing on the hood? The Ketel Award. Who will get it next? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looks (and sounds) like you guys had a great time. I am a 348 TS "newbie" (having purchased a 1990 this past April) who was looking forward to joining in on the fun. A couple of weeks ago I started getting some yellow CEL's and decided to take it to the shop. I look forward making my first Stooge event the next time around. Besides, I didn't want to be the "new guy"with the yellow lights in the dash. Hope to catch the next one. Brian
All: I'll post my photos tomorrow. The camera on my new phone is 20 megapixel and the photos were too large for FChat to accept.
Brian You should've brought those "lights" to the stooge...along with Mitchells car we fixed a 308 headlight stalk solder issue and played with fusebox connectors. Whats really great about these events (besides the excellent food) is that everyone shares their experiences To own a Ferrari is to love a Ferrari through thick and thin!
Peter, thanks again for your hospitality. The weather sucked the energy out of most Stoogers....except Armen, bad back and all... see pics... but we had a blast anyway! Food was delicious, and it was great meeting everyone. Some pics.
