Back on the Road

She is ready for the road again. What started out as a timing belt replacement eventually turned into a serious case of ‘while I’m in there syndrome’.
1. New AC compressor – Polar Bear installed my Ferrari clutch on a mechanically identical new unit, flushed system and installed new drier. Works great now.
2. Recondition the cylinder heads, installed higher rate valve springs, valve job, valve guides etc.
3. Replaced all rubber fuel and cooling couplers/ lines.
4. Cleaned fuel injectors and test flow rates/patterns. New fuel filters
5. Sleeved Master Cylinder and rebuilt all calipers, added Teflon brake lines. White Post
6. Complete suspension overhaul, new Koni shocks, energy suspension A-arm bushings, new upper and lower ball joints, tie rod ends, sway bar ends, and wheel bearings. 4 wheel alignment at Norwood’s.
7. Installed Varell’s shifter bushings w/new seals –Highly recommended!
8. New Oil cooler
9. New Clutch cable
10. Removed, cleaned and re-installed interior.
11. Fabricated battery cover from fiberglass. I never had the original.
12. Overhauled starter and alternator
13. Plus 1000’s of other little jobs.
It’s a good thing I have always taken really good care of this car or it may have really required some work! These cars are 30 years old or more now and everything is suspect. I look forward to driving it regularly again after 18 months of restoration, repairs and upgrades.
