Thanks, again. I certainly hate to part with it. Starting this new business has been taxing. That damned Huracan I bought was expensive. Just to not drive it! We are making molds off it, right now, so we can have the first 'real carbon fiber' parts for it. It kills me knowing that even if we started making money, right away, (which we won't) I wouldn't be able to buy my car back for anywhere near where I sell it for, today. Even one year from now my car will be a $200,000.00 car!

Yet the dealers are still trying to beat me down on price saying, "I've got a buyer for your car!"

I wonder what these dealers tell their clients?

"Don't go on Ferrari Chat and look in the classifieds section!"

Yeah, too many legitimate sellers, there!

"You need me to vette that seller for you so I can put a $10,000 mark up!"

Because a buyer can't spend 30 minutes researching (on the same forum, no less) a $160,000 purchase?

Why don't you just send me your buyer and I'll pay you $2,000 if he buys?

    How hard would that be?

"Resale Red" is definitely a thing.

Yep TX that about sums it up. IMO your car is beautiful, rare and priced to sell. I tend to agree manual 430s have greater potential to preserve value, if not increase in the near term, assuming the market trends continue. GLWS.

I might have missed something earlier in the thread, but why not keep the F430 and sell the Huracan? The F430 will almost undoubtedly appreciate in value (unless Ferrari brings back the manual transmission, which is pretty unlikely) whereas the Huracan will probably depreciate (unless its replacement is turbocharged, but that's a good ways off).

You'll likely still be able to get a Huracan at current prices in a year from now, but you might never get an opportunity to own another manual F430 without dropping a TON of cash on it.

    Just my two cents :)

He said he bought the Huracan sold he could make molds for carbon fiber parts. I guess after he makes the molds he could always sell the Huracan.

Thank you for the support. The Huracan is a necessary part of the business model in the short term. The F430 sale will finance:
    1) 348 restoration project (used to belong to Eddie Van Halen).
    2) the new motor for the carbon fiber widebody Porsche project.
    3) finish up the twin turbo M3 race car project

One Ferrari can pay for a LOT of fun stuff!

Thanks for the kind words, sir. Although my shop is all about taking care of our customer's needs, I started it out of a need to have a trusted place I can build my eclectic projects. The F430 is all stock. It's damned near perfect, right out of the box. There's nothing to do to it. Which makes it kind of boring.

For example, we're putting the finishing touches on my 1987 M6. I'm driving her, this weekend. We have a little bit of work to get the fuel injection perfect. Then a few minor fixes to the interior and she'll be done. But she's way better than she was in 1987. And surprises all but the most serious sports cars. Luxury sedans get destroyed. Kinds under 30 think it's a new design. I was asked in a parking lot, this week by a gentleman my age, "Is that a real one?"
    Why, yes it is!

Don't even get me started on the Diablo project. Or the carbon fiber widebody Porsche (original design) that we'll take to SEMA, next year.

Just doing the cool things I could not afford to do in my youth. Now it's a business, and it's 'GAME ON'!

Newbie here, but I'd love a shot at this car. Been researching and lurking a long time, and have decided an f430 is where I want to start my Ferrari experience.

If you've sold, congrats! If not, please let me know!

Funds cleared, yesterday. Transport is supposed to arrive, tomorrow. Thank you, brotherhood, for all your kind words and support.

To all you 'Johnny-come-latelies' who are just now chiming in, this is why it is worth your time to stay involved in this forum. Amazing cars, parts, and 'things' happen here, quite often. This has been my favorite forum, bar none!

Like I've said before, I've a couple other Ferrari's "under development" and am excited to bring them to the community. Looking forward to the 'next thing' that is bound to pop up around here!

It would be great if you or the purchaser posted the results of the sale on the 430 6MT market thread. Thank and CONGRATULATIONS on your sale.
