I've heard of the possibility of converting my 08 F430 to a 3 pedal. Is this possible?

Since value of manual F430 have exploded, I've read many times this question. :D

I can't tell you if it is technically possible but for sure the car won't have the same value as a "true" factory manual F430, of course. :)

Anyway, driving a F430 with a 6-speed manual is just pure Heaven... Just in Love with that car.

Of course possible. As far as I remember there were also some ready bolt on main part kits on the web (May be the seller was in this forum). But deffo it is not a cheap project. Too many details there are i.e. you have to change your cluster to manual version, etc. And at the end of the day the car still will be a F1 car according to factory records.

If you have a 430 you love, do it. For money, remember how much value good convertible tops add to Daytonas, etc? Zero.

An F1 car converted to a manual car WILL be worth less than either a manual or F1 car...

QFT, just sell the car and go get what you want.

I did exactly that, in 1994...

Yes but in reality No, not even for the 360.

Yes, how? well it would require the basics of changing over the mechanical F1 components to a 3 pedal, lots of work there. Then also it would require replacing the entire chassis and engine harness and ECU's along with either reprogramming or replacing the dash cluster. So the reality is, no it's not possible as one would think and would cost far more then just tracking down a manual version.

The issue in modern vehicles is that the software and electronics of the entire car are integrated into the F1 system. Gone are the days of separate systems.

Both the F1 and 3 pedal F430s have an E-Diff and an F1 pump, right?

Yes it can be done. No it wont hurt the value if you do it properly. Of course a factory manual will be more desirable but, if done properly, even experts wont notice, unless completely studying it. I have done it more than once. There is NO fabrication work at all. Remember these cars came both ways. The transmission is the same.

Lots to read on if you look.

    Good luck

As above, the 430 is not a "collectable" and if it ever becomes one then you can always switch back to an F1. With 3 (three) manual cars on cars.com starting at $180k (per my quick look this AM), you can either settle for an F1 and wish that your car was a stick. -or- pay the extra $50-60k and deal with car colors that might not be what you want.. -or- if your car is a red/tan car, convert it and make $5-10k in the process. Cars seem to be about the $100k mark for a cheap red/tan 430. Think $10-15k for conversion.

You guys are telling me there wouldn't be a buyer out there that would pay $140-150k for a converted red/tan coupe? I call BS on the "it's not original I wouldn't buy it". Yeah you would if you were looking because there isn't any other option.

I'm sure it could be done but no way would I tackle that project. Best to find a MT unit initially.

I am very much interested in buying an F1 430 and then converting it to manual. I own two 360 Modena, a 2001 manual and a 2002 F1 ....And I almost always prefer driving the manual...I am now ready to buy a 430 manual...l but they are too much money.

So I thought about buying an F1 430 and converting it.

I read that you made several of these mods on the 360. Did you do any on the 430 ?

Either way can you Please give me some advice ?
Or could you sell me a kit for the 430 conversion...or even better; a car that you converted ?

I would really like to know what you would do if you were in my situation.

Please LMK. My email is : [email protected]

Your Help, advice, and comments are much Appreciated,

    Best,
    JP
