I was over at Andy's garage and very impressed at this level of knowledge and honesty. He's servicing my Testarossa and 550 and I wanted to put up and unsolicited post and testament.
We're pretty lucky here in Phoenix to have a couple of alternatives to the dealer.

My car is in your photo, although it has cover over it ... far left. Been taking it there for over two years now. Great guys. I am having 30,000 mile service and there is part needed (a hose for the low pressure side of the power steering pump). Hopefully get it back this next.

    Regards,

    Steve

    +1.

Andy and Jon did the PPI on my car back in 2012 and have taken care of her since.
    We are lucky indeed....

Steve, hope you got your car back and enjoying it. I'm picking the 550 today. FYI, the local dealer had quoted me $13,000+ for belts/service which were observed to be "ancient" and new driver's window regulator for the window rattle. Unknown to the dealer, the belts were changed a year and a half ago by a California dealer. Andy found no wear on the belts and noted a couple of missing bolts on the window regulator.

I picked the car up yesterday. Don't have a bill yet. Andy will that send that later. I had a lot done in my 30,000 mile servic plus had them change the transmission mount. That trans mount is pretty big task requiring a bit of work.

They looked at my belts and said they were fine. ... They were replaced two yrs ago.

Other tasks were to flush and replace all fluids and change brake pads.

Speaking of brake pads, I used EBC Red Stuff pads. Hoping they work out OK. They are less costly than Brembo and Andy says they should be very good.

Andy and Jon did the work on my 2000 550 and former 328. Andy even helped me out on a minor issue with my 95 Lotus Esprit S4. Absolutely great guys and do top notch work.

Good looking collection of cars. Good stuff to know as I spend more time down there now and may eventually bring my car down.

Yes they are nice guys but more importantly, they are honest. Dealer wanted to charge me $4000 for a new regulator when the only issue was 3 missing bolts which caused the rattle. I can't say I'm shocked.

I'm guessing you are referring to the dealer on Scottsdale Road? I wouldn't be shocked either.

Andy is the best...he's highly capable, fair, trustworthy, and overall really good guy. I have dealt with him for almost 15 years on both vintage and contemporary and highly recommend him.

Is there a relation between FMS and FMS IT? Or just a name knock off?

He finally got to the engine out service. I feel sorry for him because he's so short staffed, I'm sure he'll bring in some reliable help. I feel bad for him, as he had a rough year this year with his forced time off and staff issues.

He and his employees are the best. Had them service three of my cars this year, excellent work, very fair prices. Without a doubt the best place in town to get your F cars serviced.

Andy did my PPI on my 2000 456m and all the work since then. I echo the others that noted how Andy would see a minor issue causing a major problem (like the missing bolts in a failed window regulator) and only repair what was needed.

I would go one further. We take our 456m to Vegas quite often. On one such visit the valet could not get the shifter out of park. A call to the local Vegas dealer resulted in a response of "I dunno...tow it in and we will take a look...dont see many of those here but we will look at it." I called Andy and he gave me step by step instructions over the phone to rectify the stuck shifter and voila we fixed it in the Bellagio parking lot. My wife sent Andy and Mark an edible bouquet and a thank you card the next day. I bet Andy doesn't get those things everyday but we don't get that service everyday either.
