Well, re-posted without reference to my business. (initial one got pulled down by forum management)

Here are pics of the two 2006 612's. One is a customer's (black one) and the other is mine (blue one that I overhauled this past year). Please note that I received approval from the customer's agent to post pics, etc.

    For everyone's enjoyment...

I kind of like them both but the F1 is better suited to me due to my tall frame, large feet, and kids I constantly have to reach back to spank the kids!

The black car is insanely loud! It was almost as loud with the full exhaust on as it was with just the headers!

Both look great. I don't get the 'insanely loud' exhaust strategy though. Any car can be loud if you put straight pipes on it, I think a Ferrari V12 deserves to be tuned, soulful, special. Which exhaust do you prefer, yours (sports right?) or the the loud version? No question as to which one the neighbours prefer!

I miss my 612, more than any of the others.

I don't get the insanely loud thing for any car. Especially a Ferrari. I want to hear that melodious sound that only an F-car can make. Not muscle car blast.

I'm just glad to see someone else post this thought.

I think the black one I posted is way too loud. It can be a little embarrassing. On the other hand, I think my blue one is too quiet. It is stock except it has the Tubi mufflers on the rear. I haven't heard an OEM 612 yet!

I've a 2006 HGTS and I reckon the standard exhaust note is just about perfect for a GT.

The HGTS/HGTC/HGT2/OTO Sport Exhaust sounds really nice on a 612. Nice compromise between music and quiet cruise.

I like my stock OTO exhaust. It's reasonably quiet generally, but it get up to 5-6000 RPM, and it has a great note.

I'm curious to hear more. Why do you miss it most? I ask because I have recently considered finding a good 612 as a fun long-distance tourer.

I just ordered the 612 sport exhaust cans. Used from UK.

Will let you know what I think and how I plumb them (i.e. valving)!

You can always get one of Steve Bisel's kits that will let you select whether the valves are open or controlled by the Motronic schedule.
