Good way of knowing if it's been hit or not and the seller is trying to hide something IMO.

Well, I was going to point out with that many miles, there's a good chance that panels have been repainted to correct rock chips. So, hard to differentiate between underlying damage and simple paint correction.

There is a good chance, the way these cars are shipped, that a panel could have been repainted at the import facility.

If both the buyer and seller are happy or unhappy, then it is a good deal.

I thought i got a decent deal on my car. It needed some TLC, but so far nothing major. I have done all the work myself and have enjoyed the experience. However, if I had to take the car to a dealer and tell them to fix everything, then the deal I got would have been terrible. One mans deal may be another mans nightmare.

Drive both and then decide what you think of each transmission. A gated F car transmission is very unique. Not all in a good way. A 355 F1 transmission is very unique. Not all in a good way as well.

Although I am not a spider person I appreciate them very much. I simply had my share of convertible experience with other cars in my 20's and prefer not having people staring directly at me when I drive, especially with a car that attracts so much attention.

$45k for the car you describe could be a good deal or a horrible deal. These cars are all about condition when deciding value. One persons "mint" is very, very far from anothers.

If this isn't the car you want it's a terrible deal. At $45k, you're not stealing this car with 45,000 miles on it. You'll always have one eye looking for what you really want.
