As far as I know, the CS kit for the 360 consists of CS exhaust backbox and tips, CS racing 100 cell catalytic converters, CS ECU program and some CS heat shields.

For F1 cars I've heard that the program makes a big difference reducing shift times and is a great upgrade.

    What about manual cars ?

Is it worth buying the whole kit (including expensive ECU), or can someone just buy the CS exhaust ?

What hp increases should one expect ?

    Thanks !

I really liked the before and after - the mods look great - but the last shot with all the mods made it look just like an F1 car - maybe you went too far? lol.

    Thanks

DO NOT Go to F 1 or Manfreds automotive They the same people I know. When I first moved down here 3 years ago I found that I was bring my 360 to them,it seems like very other week. They are located in Naples568 Industrial blvd.

After spending around $ 25,000 with them and I got some uncaring for my car I decided to find some one else and I thank GOD I did. Here is my guy: HUNT AUTOMOTIVE IN. THEY ARE LOCATED In Fort Myers 239 481 -1978. By bring my 360 spider to them I have saved a lot of money. the owner name is RICK. They have been honest with me and I trust there work. Best of luck

I did the conversion on my last 360 from prosport. You need the front bumper and skirts as a minimum plus the grills for the bumper. Front bumper was a poor fit as were the side skirts. Both had lots of work to make them fit correctly. I did the stripe and the wheels, the car already had a tubi on it. I used Sparco Milano Leather Seats. Including paint and second hand wheels it was circa £10k about 5 years ago.

Now have an F1 360 with factory carbon seats which I love, I bought CS wheels and it has a capristo. The TCU has CS programme and makes the shift much quicker when you are flat out.

The first one had DMS reprogramme and the car was as quick as a Strad in a straight line. Had them back to back with pal and have driven both.

The new F1 car - dont know whats been changed ECU wise but it feels quicker than the last one and certinaly sounds nice.

Been tempted the CS front bumper and skirts again, but actually like it stock with the CS wheels,

I just had the pro-sport installed on my 1999 360 with amazing results, The shop that I had do it was very impressed with the fitment, The parts are all made from fiberglass, The tricky part was the decklid, it is possible to just bond it to the rear decklid but there will be a little height difference where the edges meet up since it is just getting bonded to the top. The body guy that did mine did some modifications and it lines up perfectly.

If you want to replicate a CS, here are some of the differences...

Differences between 360 and Challenge Stradale (Partial)

    Updated Front bumper
    Updated rear bumper
    Rear diffuser
    Sharper Side skirts
Underbody tray (50% lighter than Modena)
Lexan back window with Carbon Fiber grills and braces
Lexan side windows optional outside US
    Thinner and lighter windshield
    Titanium lugnuts
    Titanium springs
Carbon Fiber door panels, sills, center console
    Carbon Fiber seat shells
    Carbon Fiber intake filter boxes
    Carbon Fiber mirrors
Carbon Fiber panels (water shields) in engine compartment
Indented gas door with polished cavallino
    CCM brakes
    19" Challenge style wheels
    Pirelli Corsa tires
    Low back pressure exhaust
    Titanium exhaust tips
    Launch Control
    Mass air flow sensor
    Valve spring positioning
Claimed special engine component selection, machining and polishing
New engine and F1 transmission mapping firmware

Rear engine lid (had revised more protruding 'nulder' for downforce)
Uprated clutch (to handle Launch Control)
Uprated driveshafts (to handle Launch Control)
Engine bay to passenger compartment glass - thinner, lighter.
Due to fitment of CF engine panels and CS sports exhaust, they also a pair of fitted heat shields
Free flowing air box resonator (less airflow restriction)
The MAF (Mass Airflow Sensors) a pair of bigger ones where used to stop air restrictions at the very top end of the revs (for squeezing the last few bhp out).
Dashboard instrumentation facia clocks revised, rev counter in bright yellow
Dashboard instrumentation facia cover in carbon
Dashboard heater controls facia cover in carbon (smaller, deleing stereo space)
Dashboard lower (revised, deleting glovebox and stereo box, less weight)
New s/w for dash clocks (including CCM brakes wear algorithm and race mode graphics among other updates)
    New s/w for suspension tcu
New s/w for abs controller (in addition to the already noted ignition ecu's (pair) and transmission ecu)
New s/w settings for throttle maps (much more sensitve)
New s/w settings for valve opening (opens later than on a Modena)

*Optional deletion of the radio (weight saving)
*Optional selection of Carbon seat size (small, medium or large)
*Optional choice of racing seat belt harnesses (not all markets)
*Optional lightweight CS specific Aluminum roll over bar (Modena one was made from Steel)

On the blueprinting of the engine, all 360's engines were blueprinted but to within 2% tolerances when bench tested. On the CS that tolerance was down to just 0.5% so the selection of pistons, conrods, etc. was obviously more precise hence CS's should be virtually idential in power between one and another (from factory), this will change somewhat as they get miles under their wheels and depending on how well looked after they are.

Revised ABS calibration (software, abs kicks in less easily)
Revised Electronic Suspension mapping (software), normal replaced with sport, race added.
    Revised Ignition Maps (more power)
Revised Throttle Maps (sharper, more sensitive)
Revised Software in Dashboard (including algorithm for CCM wear)
Uprated rear anti-roll bar (uprated 20% and hollow for less weight, improved handling, less pitch and roll, improved rear end control, same as used on 430 Scuderia)
Uprated anti-roll bar bushes (from 360 Challenge cars, improved handling at expense of some ride quality)
Uprated upper and lower arm bushes (from 360 Challenge cars, improved handling at expense of some ride quality)
*Replacement lower arms from later chassis numbers (stops cracking problems from the stiffer chassis)
Uprated damper bushes (from 360 Challenge cars, improved handling at expense of some ride quality)
Uprated driveshafts (lighter and stronger to survive launch control)
Uprated Clutch (slightly uprated, improved longevity)
Revised Ride height (front lower than rear for improved aero, lower center of gravity, overall lower than 360)
    Revised Geometry settings (better handling)

This is what the CS front bumper inserts look like fitted to the standard 360 bumper naked and freshly fitted to the front I bought them from anexperts good quality + good price bit of work involved fitting them but will worth the effort in the end, and here's the finished look. Now I need set of CS side skirts i'll drop anexpert a PM me thinks. Wounder if he if makes the engine cover spoiler.

The stradale mirrors you can find on ebay sometimes, also Exotic Auto Recycling in CA has some for sale right now I think....but they are close to 10k, To rich for my blood, I bough carbon fiber gt mirrors at a 10th of the cost, I wont lie I dont think they are as sexy as the CS mirros but I do like them, They are no power so that is something that you loose if you fit your car with them, but I only need to adjust my mirrors once. No one else drives my care. I think for the price they are a great addition and still give it a little more aggressive look. You can talk with JOSH at Exotic car auto and he will work with you on price for both. Also he has the carbon fiber engine louvers, they are the ones that I have installed on my picture from the back

Fitment very poor, spent 10 hrs fitting them in some places I had to trim down to get it to fit perfect into the rubber 1/4 surround and in other places I had to built up slightly using black resin, not many options out there CS OEM mirrors $6000 no thanks repo mirror think I paid $600.
