I thought these car are only sold on invitation basis u just cant go and buy the car. Is that correct?
How bad is the damage? It looks fixable, mainly at the front, broken suspension. How difficult it it to replace the carbon fiber under structure (not the exterior panels)?
I'm starting to think a lot of owners of cars of this type are dumbasses... Check this video out, guy is trying to do donuts on tires he claims are shot, which he blamed for why he had an off-track excursion earlier... http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCRKlyAwYMYn-q1tzJ--SF9A Can't even do a donut w 950hp to two wheels...
That's a damn shame. That's almost like getting a shot with Kate upton in bed and you blow your sh*t prematurely... Epic fail lol
Because for all that money.. Ferrari knows that these owners can't drive worth a ****. So they put a ****load of electronic nannies in the car to keep it on the road. Yet, they still manage to push the envelope beyond what the nannies can accommodate. This usually takes astounding lack of skill to do. A computer system that lets you throw it around at 150 MPH and make mistakes... and still keeps you going straight. To push the car beyond that nannie. Wow. In this case I wouldn't be surprised the guy didn't bother to read the manual and disable the nannies so he can do a proper donut. Looks like front wheel systems are still active and he's not exclusively driving with gas power. Money does not correlate with driving ability. Especially if its inherited.
what a dumba$$ Why would you accelerate like that in total stop and go traffic? More money than brains apparently! Also, the iPhone must have not made it yet to Budapest because that video quality was worse than 1980's camcorder quality!
He spun out at Turn 1 at Sonoma. Blames shot & cold tires. He later then blames the car and so then chose to drive his P1 on track instead. His lap times were as fast as mine. When I drove a miata. I would have to agree with you.
curious if the original owner sold it? it was one of the very first laferrari seen on public street if i recall correctly.
not sure if it is too inappropriate to ask but the resale price and the cost of repair would be interesting to know considering the crash being documented by public eyes.
Let's dial back the hate a little. Poor guy had a bad moment. The LaFerrari has a lot more HP and Torque that what most Ferrari owner's drive. La Ferrari >>>f12>ff>458>>California At Fiorano, the LaFerrari absolutely smokes an F12. Makes an FF look like a station wagon around the track. Plus the F12 and FF are very forgiving since they are front mid engined and less tail happy. Fortunately no one was injured and the car can be fixed. And for those who make fun of him for being rich enough, why don't you look in the mirror and ask yourself why aren't you rich enough to buy one.
WATCH: Man Crashes $1.9M Ferrari Right After Leaving the Dealership | Fox News Sorry if this is a re-post but I thought it was a must see. He must have had all the nannies turned off. Alden
Is that a wee Haggis? looks like he gave it full bore as he was pulling out to the right to dart between the two cars...lost the back end to the right ..then did a massive over correction...ouch. great beer in Budapest.
Actually it does occur from time to time in history. The same thing happened in the early 2000s when the first Ford GTs and Porsche Carrera GTs came out and eager/unexperienced drivers crashed the cars before making it home on the first drive.
