My car should be in production soon. When we did the Tailor Made session, we were asked if we wanted to have the production photo album (which contains about 30 photos taken at different points along the line we were told) included in my F12 order. We enthusiastically said yes. Has anyone else ordered the photo album ?? Just curious if you were happy with the outcome. Not sure if this is exclusive to Tailor Made clients or offered routinely.

    Thanks,

    Mark

    Hi Mark,

We didn't order the car new, but our 599 GTO was Tailor Made and it came with the album you speak of. It is well worth it and there are many wonderful photos. You should be very happy with the result!

Got the album gratis with my 430 Spider. It was leather bound and nice.

    Tell you a story:

We went to the factory the following year and were told to bring the book and the people that built the car would sign the book. Sounded really cool. Punchline?

We get to the factory, take the tour, and ask how to get our book signed. Directed to a door, knocked on it, and showed the book. The woman said,"wait a moment," then came back with a stamp and stamped the book.

My wife and I cracked up - we're carrying the book carefully all over Europe in its cover, and all we wind up getting was a rubber stamp.

    That's Ferrari!

I ordered it for both our Tailor Made Speciale and F12. Haven't received them yet and we are going on 10 months since delivery. They said we would receive it before the end of the year and they have been backed up due to the popularity of the option.

after almost two years of waiting I hit status 40 a number of days ago and then quickly saw status 50 and now 60 ! got my first pic in the primer then a similar pic in the body color with just the shell painted… I read this thread regarding a production album and called my dealer GM and he has never seen such an album… I also visited Tailor Made and was not informed of this opportunity.. waiting on my 3rd pic which should show an almost completed car.. I'll try to post the pic when it shows up… it's been quite a long haul but the anticipation is certainly growing quickly… can't wait to see if all the options and choices really look as nice as I imagined...

    Mark,

How much more is Taylor made on an average? I'm sure the sky can be the limit with various options. Just want to get your input if it's something that you would do for all your Ferraris? And is it only done at at the factory? I would consider it for my next f car as you stated in your PM. Let me know your thoughts plus anyone else who would like to contribute. Thanks!

I know that there is a Tailor Made program in NYC, but not sure the options are exactly the same as they are at Tailor Made in Maranello. We received a private factory tour in the am followed by lunch on Ferrari at Montana. They picked us up and took us back at 1:30 pm to meet the Tailor Made rep Elena Fontana who escorted us to the Tailor Made studio. Conceivably, you could spec out a car which is close to standard, but they assume you will add a lot of specialization. A designer joins you, shows you the 3 suggested theses ( Scuderia, Classical, Inedita) after which they show you paints, special leathers, carbon fiber, exotic hides, etc. It could have been overwhelming if not for the fact that I knew I wanted to go "old school ", so I honed in on older, classic paint colors, mostly leather upgrades, etc. we did absolutely no interior or exterior carbon fiber ( except the backs of the racing seats). Nevertheless, the historic paint and upgraded leather (Tailor Made-specific, I was told) add up to $100,000. The other options, which can be ordered at the dealer, accounted for something like $45,000. If cost was no consideration, I would do every future Ferrari this way. Having said that, cost is a future consideration for me!! Hope this helps. Cheers, Mark
