No news IMO. Just a small thing and the press is making a big thing outta it as usual. However, the big question is, will Rosberg take advantage of this?
Having read his instagram and an (unofficial) report, he apparently had a heavy weekend celebrating his moms birthday that ''he really felt Sunday and Monday'' (i.e. hungover). If you have a fever you're not driving around in your Zonda at 3 in the morning. he then said: . Hmm. What situation? He obviously has insurance, and even with a mistake on his part, the car(s?) he hit will be repaired and compensated for. Unless he had been drinking and the people wanted some money in order not to press charges...
More info. Looks like he's properly losing the plot... Lewis Hamilton: Heavy partying is to blame for my Monte Carlo car crash - Telegraph
what a complete A -whole JERK! (just kidding... just saving some keystrokes for the Hami haters. They can just cut and paste) Thanks mr Mayor! Spot on
Not really. I fing the car ugly compared to a Ferrari or a Lamborghini, mostly the rear that looks disproportionate and very ungainly to me. It may be a rare and exclusive car, but Zonda uses a Mercedes engine; that's not very cool and compare badly to other luxurious supercars. So, I gave it the thumb down.
It was a light hearted joke . For me the Zonda is the end all be all of supercars...everything is just absolutely perfect, for me.
Tough one. Fit and finish is far beyond Ferrari, porsche, McLaren hyper cars. But the new hyper cars are beyond what the zonda is, so we have to look at the Enzo, cgt... And f1? F1 has a bmw engine, bespoke build... Much like the zonda engine is bespoke build by amg. F1 is understated, like an early zonda is without the wings and snorkel intake. Koenigsegg it competes with, but pagani beats them imo. Better noise, only the latest Koenigsegg aren't as problematic as their early ones. So it depends how you look at it. ****ing brilliant
One site puts the Bugatti Veyron, the LA Ferrari, the Porsche 918, the Zonda, the Koenigsweg and the McLaren P1 as hypercars, between £600 and £1m Then the Lamborghini Hurracan and Ventador, the Ferrari 488, the McLaren 650S, as supercars, up to £250/300K. I can't really make the distinction, apart from the price, of course. Hypercars tend to be limited series never repeated, and supercars in regular production. The McLaren F1 is about 15 years old, so no part of this conversation. McLaren now produces its own engines (designed by Riccardo). To me, and you will not agree, the Zonda is like a kit car, using a mass produced engine, instead of having its own. At that price, you expect more engineering than a block lifted off a Mercedes saloon!! Same for the Veyron and its engine shared with Bently and Volkswagen. At least Konigsweeg makes its own engine. But what kills it on the Zonda for me is the look. I can't belive a car at that price can look so ugly. It really looks like a kit car.
Yep I disagree. Only the very early zondas came with a Merc engine unchanged from mercedes. Remember that the zonda is from 1999, so only a few years newer than the McLaren, and started design around the same time. Early koenigsegg basically had a mustang engine with superchargers. I'm not sure on their current engine, but I think the block itself is still from ford. Do you consider the McLaren f1 a kit car? (most) zonda too have a bespoke amg engine, not available for any mercedes.
Why is it cool when Kimi gets wasted and falls off a boat in Monaco but LH crashes his car, not even drunk, just fatigued, and he's "losing the plot"? He's already won the title, what's the problem? Everyone wanted personalities back, well here you go.....
+1 - Rich young, race driver has accident. This cannot be news. He should not speak about it though if he is honestly worried about Legal issues arising. That is not smart.
Apart from the one comment, I don't really see anything related to what you're saying. Regardless of that, there's 2 different things: One is a guy drunk on his boat, the other is one , after plenty of partying on his own admission, crashing into multiple stationairy cars. Which is somewhat suspicious, for a triple world champ, if you ask me. You don't hurt anyone falling of your own boat.
