    All good, and slightly off thread...but

    1) I agree, the DMV might frown on a Ferrari in a road test.

    2) my daughter has been karting at the national level for 6 years and is now doing some car stuff. I'm not so worried about her for the "driving" portion

    3) we're moving her into an MX5 Cup car, which is a great and basic learning platform for car control (manual, RWD)

    Back to 355's now...(to be fair, I had the seat back/low)

    I do remember that your daughter is a kick ass driver and you're a motorsport family. I was just thinking more of the big picture. I'm sure that she can handle a 355 just fine - or any of your other cars - by the time she's 16.

    On a racetrack, I'm very confident in letting her drive and race, though my pulse is about 250 at the start...

    I am SURE I'm going to be a nervous wreck with her on the street. Street driving is dangerous!

    Thanks for the comparo, Entropy. I have not had the pleasure of driving a 458 or Speciale, but, even though I much prefer the older cars to the newer "video game" generation, the Speciale is one of the very few later cars that I'd like to own. So it's nice to hear a firsthand comparison of the two from someone who's experienced both for a period of time.
