    The battery light came on while driving my 92 348 home after a car show.The alt was tested and showed 14 volts output.The battery is 9 months old.Any suggestions on what I should check or test next? Thanks four any help.

    There is a long thread in the tech section that might give you some ideas.

    First thoughts that come to mind are bad connections or bad brushes. There are several potential causes though.

    Just talking with Henry tonight rso1091 and he has a voltage gauge on his car. He found it was over charging intermittently lately and he also noticed the light on dash flickering. Possibly could be overcharging like Henry's.

    Your alternator is failing. Just a question of when. Unfortunately the replacements are worse but you may be able to use a 355 Norwood version developed for the CCR/Maranello Cup race series using a NASCAR base.

    The rebuilt 355 alternators use Chinese built Nippondenso components that do not last.
