    Well thanks, that's the straight forward answer that I'm looking for.

    Yes we will do it;
    It's been done already;
    Nah not likely;
    Great idea, just technically impossible;
    Ok let's see if possible.

    Meeting other owners near you and socialising with them is the whole point of the Owners Forum. ;)

    All the best,
    Andrew.

    Bring back the 'picture' in the heading of the classified threads. More fun to browse through and you can identify immediately what is of interest to you and what is not. "A picture is worth a thousand words".

    Recently I have been getting a malicious virus detection and blocking notification from Norton when first logging on to the site. Has something changed in the last couple weeks? Don't get it elsewhere. Thanks.

    Looked for the rossa subscription, 5 years, today once again.

    Same as before. Depending on currency either Paypal or 2checkout ist offered. I continue to refuse using Paypal. Although 2checkout claims to accept all mayor credit cards, just Visa is offered. In previous attempts this led to an alert message telling me to contact the bank, payment was blocked by bank due to security automatism, and the card permanently blocked for further internet payments. Had to have the card unblocked by personal visit at the bank two times, thank you Ferrarichat ;o))).

    Asked for other payment method, e.g. wire transfer (with all domestic and foreign bank fees borne at my side). Or direct payment via Amex (I never had any problems using Amex). Though, this was rejected by at least one mod as not possible, and no other proposal provided.

    Well, fine with me, since I am no dealer or in any other profession related with cars or anything around cars. I actually just want(ed) to acknowledge what the forum makers do for the community. So, if I should at some time intend to sell one of my cars, users of this forum will have to discover that elsewhere .... ;).

    Not really an important or big deal for me personally but I think extending some of the options in Silver to non-paying subscription members would be pretty cool.

    "Silver Subscribed users currently get the following benefits over Non Subscribed users... 1) "Silver Subscribed" title under your rank. 2) Up to 200 Private Messages can be stored. 3) Access to the private Silver Subscribed Forum. 4) Profile picture. 5) Emailing other users. 6) No attachment limit. 7) Create new polls. 8) Personal avatar. 9) Post Ads in FerrariAds.com (1 car a year) 10) No Google Ads in Posts."

    1) A non-issue.
    2) A non-issue for me since I clean my PM box on a regular basis.
    3) I think every forum should be available to every member paying subscriber or not. I have paid for several Silver subscriptions and at least one Rossa subscription and basically it was a waste of money for me.
    4) A non-issue.
    5) A non-issue.
    6) A issue. Also it would be nice to be able to remove attachments you have made from old non-active threads so you can add one in a current topic one is active in. I would be happy with 50 per year.
    7) Kind of a non-issue but would be nice to have the option as long as it is not abused.
    8) A non-issue.
    9) A non-issue.
    10) A non-issue.

    Just food for thought.

    Gregg,

    Just a side note, I never viewed the money I paid for an fchat subscription to be "worth it" from a feature-by-feature value assessment.
    Instead, I saw it as a way to support the website in general.
    That is, our subscriptions are a way for us forum users to "toss some money in the hat" to help Rob keep a good thing going.

    I knew I was forgetting something, my bad :eek: .
    Basically my paid subscriptions were also just a way to help support the forum. Also when I had either Silver or Rossa I realized that I rarely if ever use utilized them but possibly that is because I am a non-owner, I don't know.

    Thanks for reminding me :) .

    this is a problem on your end, we get several payments through 2checkout each day. there is also nothing wrong with paypal, so that is your choice not to use them. 2checkout is based in the UK, but that shouldn't matter unless your bank is overly sensitive. 2checkout will block a transaction if your IP address isn't in same area as the address you put down, that makes sense for fraud protection. paypal accepts all cc's.

    I would suggest that it is not a problem at my end, if I want to pay (even though I do not need to) and this is not made possible to me in a somewhat convenient manner and not using payment services, which should be avoided.

    There is a lot wrong with Paypal, but I will not discuss this in detail here and now. Just as one issue, in case of a dispute there is practically no chance to sue them due to their residence (European branch) in a safe haven (Luxembourg). There you bear your own attorneys costs, irrespective of who wins the suit. Attorneys there never cost less than a four figure sum. Just figure that out ...

    First, the payment is not blocked by 2checkout, but payment to 2checkout is blocked by my bank (see my above post). Second, I do not think of going into (further) efforts adjusting anything to particulars of others, if other routine payment channels work fine (direct cc payment, wire transfer).That you do not accept payment methods common throughout European business practice is a problem at your end, and not mine .... ;)

    I do not have a problem, if you (for whatever reason) elect to promote Paypal in such a manner.

    I simply do not buy anything from any company, which does not provide conventional alternatives like wire transfer or direct cc. I nevertheless have survived and will continue to survive :D.

    You surely will not be able to force me to start using Paypal, for obvious reasons :D.

    P.S.: If I have overlooked some kind of affiliation with Ebay/Paypal, please kindly apologize.

    Agree, same here. I still don't understand this... I have met maybe six or seven fchat users....across the swiss and italian sections...now what... I don't like to bug other people to witness or something like that I have an f-car....I guess that will be a section of f-chat I will never get to see!

    Most people don't see vouching for fellow members as an inconvenience in any way. I'm certainly pleased to do it when I meet people. :)

    That section should be available to those who used to be owners. If you sell your car do you get kicked out of the owner's forum? If no, then I think previous owners should get a shot.
