oh that would be great moderating if you banned people for disagreeing over things.

I think Peter is actually picking up on what's so frustrating about lewis' one eyed blinkered fanbois....their unrelenting justifications and excuses and double standards.

I don't see any good reason for any of us to have to stop responding to any ridiculous and outlandish claims about ANY driver, not even if it's lewis.

OR................you can make that a new rule, if you like. Then it'll stop.

OR....better still, make a new rule banning ridiculous and outlandish claims! :)

I am aware of the blinkered viewpoints and double standards on both sides of the Hamilton debate. I have my own thoughts about Hamilton and don't always agree with his fans either. I'm not saying people shouldn't debate when they disagree, I'm saying the constant back and forth pedantically picking apart the wording of each post to attack the poster rather than to debate F1 is not healthy. We've already said in the past that this will be moderated since it is how threads descend into irrelevant vitriol that eschews any sort of free exchange of ideas.

It is possible to disagree without getting personal. Calling people hypersensitive or Mr. Kettle is inflammatory, unnecessary, and is best avoided. I hope that's understood by everyone, not just you.

    OR....... http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/f1/495700-enforcement-rules-f1-forum.html

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Please tell me you're not serious!!!

    Mr Kettle??

You're going to ruin this place if that's something you want to put in place.

How else would you word "you're accusing someone of doing what you do yourself".....Mr Kettle is inflammatory??

    whatever next.

It's already in place because people have frequently complained that the F1 forum is already ruined. Half the regulars can't seem to stand one another and the lurkers are put off by an aggressive atmosphere. You'll need to think of more eloquent ways to communicate.

If I had to, I'd say "you're accusing someone of doing what you do yourself" to mean "you're accusing someone of doing what you do yourself", but we do need to try to get away from that in every post and try to concentrate on the relevant subject matter. The cute nicknames for other members to get the point across often get taken personally and it greatly contributes to getting things riled up.

Next, we'll get the thread back onto topic. ;)

    All the best,
    Andrew.

    Sadly I agree.

I cut way down on my participation in here because of the constantly hostile attitude by many.

One of the problems is that you cannot have a laugh with anyone anymore, everyone gets so upset at every little joke, it's like being at primary school sometimes.

If I write a funny skit, most people laugh and see it for what it is, and then some take great offence and act like I've written the most racist sexist anti-religious post in the world ever. It's crazy here

We all have standards. If personality and lifestyle are more important than winning, then we can judge differently from a dedicated Ferrari Tifosi who only wants Ferrari to win.

As a Tifosi, if Hamilton can continue to drive as well as he does, I would welcome him as a Ferrari pilot. I don't care about his personality or lifestyle. We all know a flamboyant "Hamilton", right?

For now, I don't know if he could do any better than Vettel - just my opinion. Hamilton is not very good at launch or in dirty air. Yet, he can skillfully shave 1,000th of a second better than P2 for Pole.

Kimi struggles, but is a respectable P6 in driver standing. Some of Kimi's problems aren't his fault, and some are. I'm fine with Kimi for 2016.

If personality and lifestyle is more important than winning, then so be it.

You are telling me that comparing the man who cost him a 100 million vs the man who gave his team the last wdc in 17 years sound logical?

Mansoer is still quite fond of him.

Yeah, true, but Alonso went to have a quiet word with the FIA when McLaren was under investigation, remember?

Some say he gave inside information about how the leaked documents were discussed and exploited at McLaren WITH Ron Dennis' knowledge.

Probably that without his testimony McLaren would not have been found guilty and fined.

At the begining, it seemed like an "innocent" leak by one engineer to another.

Alonso obtained immunity because he helped the FIA in their enquiry.

Ok...whilst Alonso wasn't the leak, he was allegedly the nail in the coffin. Whilst a low act usually, I'm not sure that I blame him. From the outside, it looks like Ron wasn't doing the right thing to Alonso.

Makes you wonder, though, with Alonso back at McLaren, what really happened.

But they had to cheat in the first place, you can't blame Alonso for that, and the way they treated him by favouring Elton over him despite all the promises they made when he signed, I'm surprised he offered Ron a get out before going ahead, I would have hung him out to dry immediately

I am not sure Alonso did it out of spite though.

He may have just wanted to protect himself from prosecution, sanctions, etc...

Remember that at the time the FIA was talking about suspending McLaren's entrant license, and he may have thought his own drivers' license was at risk, perhaps.

He certainly volunteered informations on the advice of his lawyer or his manager (Briatore?) for a reason.

I still think that Alonso at McLaren doesn't feel right.

Thing is, Alonso knew about it, and he threatened the team. He was/is no angel.
