Yeah we paid just under 80K USD for her. His knowledge on these is slim as Is mine but My Job is to find rare cars that he can buy keep and then sell later at a profit. I hope I did my Job here or my ass is grass lol. I know it's road legal now in Japan so that would be in it's favour.
Lol, a very good buy. Don't worry about holding onto this one, if he buys and sells to make a profit then I would sell it straight away to one of the people that made the offer. Don't see these cars being worth much more than the offers that were put forward on this car. Bought for 75,000, offers received of 120,000 and 130,000.................I think your job is safe my friend.
Bit Like buses these! Ive just found another one in Japan VIN 107992 Attached pictures Any info on this one? Many thanks Martin Perry Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
27000 KM - waiting on translation at the moment Any feelings as to whether its "real"? - Obviously seats and carbon interior wrong.
Wheels and brakes are also wrong. Wheels are Neez Tab Corsas , which are actually lighter than Speedline Corsa wheels. Nice Speedline alternative. Brake calipers don't seem to be the bronze Brembos. Very nice looking though .
What is a real CH, or clone CH? If you had a F355GTB street car you could just order the factory CH kit and dealer would install and it was 100% legal in the CH Series. If you ask was it a "factory built" CH that is a different question
Thanks for the steer on the wheels - the dishing did look a tiny bit wrong. Agree calipers - wonder if its just a paint job? Im more interested in whether it was actually a raced car - as said, it has a big influence on value.
There was a discussion about this here: https://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/challenge-gt-cars/497261-ferrari-challenge-car-values-factory-built-vs-customer-built.html
There's a lot of clones in Japan from what I've seen. I think I've actually seen this car for sale before. edit: Was a different car: http://rattlesnake.jp/car/photo/f355/index.html
I have enough challenge parts to make another car Maybe I will and call it a challenge that was put away and never raced hehehe
Only useful information I have gleaned is that it was imported to Japan in 1997 by Cornes, but not registered till 2002 - that would suggest a period as a track car, but not confirm it. It was also probably originally red. Do any of the experts have any history??
can anybody see in the pics if the car is fitted with a second oilcooler? and if the gearbox olicooler is missing. I was told by a potetntial buyer that it is missing these items and that the exhaust is not a challenge exhaust Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
