Sounds good in the review teaser. Sound seems to be all over the place in videos.

Heres a really good IMO review of the 488GTB by Ignition

As a long time Ferrari owner I was really concerned about the sound of the 488's Turbo charged engine, but the more I hear it the more I like it.

I'll contrast that with my New M4 which sounds very weak in comparison to my old V8 M3 E93 - It really dulls the experience which is a shame for a car with such a pedigree. I don't think Ferrari have made the same mistake.

Entropy - Great job with your review. Thank you.

I am curious when I can get one. I just have to figure out how to change my name on here! :)

I'm sure that black headliner is the standard. I ordered the standard headliner in my first 458 and it was this rather cheap looking white vinyl mesh. I'm sure this is the same only in black.

IMO, the leather headliner is worth the extra grand if you care.

If you order a spider the standard is really horrible because you see it when the top goes down.

I would get a black headliner in a spider. My top is down 99% of the time from April-Nov. stored with the top up and cover on in winter.

The beige leather top gets dirty and shows the dirt easily. Only time you see the headliner is putting the top up/down or if raining. Beige is higher maintenance. The black would look good with the black dash, carbon f black steering wheel, black belts, and black mats.

Excellent point! I was still thinking of the white "cheesecloth" standard in the 458. Black would be much better!

It started sounding better when the view switched from the tach and speedometer. Why? Was the mike outside? Was it a 488? Lol

Yes I will order the standard rims, but in black glossy. I like them better.

++1 Love the black roof. Yellow on 488 is real nice, I like it way better than yellow on 458.

Seriously considering doing the same after 11 years with my CS! All this talk about the sounds of a NA Ferrari beating out on leading edge performance gives me pause, right up until look over and see a damn Tesla pulling 10 car lengths on me with 3 kids in the back as my joyous 9000 revs CS gets dusted. Ferrari is about performance with a direct link to F1. I bought my CS when MS had that great season with the amazing F2004. The CS is an old link, signed by the great one himself. Maybe its just time to move on and join the present. The 488 is today's leading technology built upon a unanimously heralded chassis of the 458, what could be better? I guess only the sounds of my CS along with it, but then that would put me back in 2004 wouldn't it?

You can't win at the speed/performance leading edge game. Some cars are just keepers. IMO having old AND new is best - but not an electric that's for sure. Others will disagree.
