So my F12 came with Pirelli PZero. I'm not their biggest fan, and they really show their limits on track. So I'm starting to look into options.

Michelin Supersports are obvious, and I've had good experience with them on other cars. Any other options? Google suggests Bridgestone Potenza S007, anyone have any experience with them?

Ideally I'd like to get Michelin Cup 2s, but they don't seem to come in standard F12 sizes.

Michelin. have driven F12 with pzero and Michelin and can say that there is no comparison. haven't heard many positive reviews about the bridgestones.

Cup2 with 265 front are perfect. Need shims for about 2 degrees camber.

If one does not track the F12 on a regular basis MPSS are perfect.

And what did you put on the rear wheels? 325s?

And what will you put on the back with the 265 fronts to keep the f/r difference 6,3%? That will take a rear of 29" with 265/35R20 fronts. Not only is there nothing in the Cup 2 range that will fit that bill, so if used, a rear tyre with much smaller diameter may not only mess with the abs sensors and esc, it will also look very bad as the wheel arch gap becomes huge and the car will sit in a "reverse wedge".

The F12 specific Bridgestone S007 is suppose to be very good in the dry, more so than the Super Sports and perhaps slightly below the Cup2s.

Tire Rack pictures doesn't tell the whole story, I have see a couple F12s wearing them and the outer tread block is basically 1 giant piece of slicks.

Do you have them on yours? Fronts work fine but the rears?

Yes, but do you have any data and specs on how they set that car up? For all we know, they could have had it in CST off, so there was no issues with the ABS and ESC.

The front to rear difference between the wheels you describe is 1,3% vs. the stock 6,3%. I seriously doubt that won't cause any issues when you put the car into race, sport or wet. Besides, with that setup, the rear will sit 17 mm. lower than the front and put an extra gap of 13 mm. between the tyre and wheel arch.

Furthermore, that back leaning rake the car gets, will also mess with the geometry of the suspension.

I fail to see how this is a viable option in any way for a stock F12.

I've ran Pirelli on all my cars and never tried another make. however this is the 3rd time in 10 days i've been told that there is a night-and-day difference between the MPSS and Pirelli P Zero. I'd appreciate your 1st-hand insight; can you please highlight what the difference is/are?

    thank you very much

    NIGHT AND DAY.

I have the PZeros on my 458 and they are CRAP!

I have the MPSS and they are the best road tyre that I have ever had.

I have now ordered MPSS for my 458.

Traction? Noise? Can you elaborate - not trying to be a pest but to buy an entire set of MPSS as a"trial" would be an expensive exercise

    OK.

So the Pzeros are awesome in the first 2 weeks and then they significantly drop off. Therefore, the traction is terrible and it feels as so they never get up to temp and grip up.

The MPSS once warm as so grippy and you can just feel the rubber with your hands to know that they stick much more.

I took my pzeros in and the guy said that they had heaps of tread left, which I agreed, however they have no grip anymore.

What date? Maybe I would join. 2 F12 on track would be nice.

@DK308. No I do not yet run the Cup2 on my F12.

A friend of mine does with 2 degrees of camber and the setup of the Sportauto data. He was driving behind me on the Nordschleife and almost lost the car. He is an experienced Race driver.
I will ask him, if any problems occur with ediff etc.

    Thank you!

You've got me strongly considering this option. Back end of my cat keeps breaking out even in straight-line when I floor it and it drops to 2nd, or 3rd and I'm flat out. I kept thinking it was the increase power from upgrades but know that's not possible, and only recently began to to think it is the tires and started to do some research. I've only put 3'000km on them and the tread is plentiful.

Can you say they are also better in wet? What about winter tires? Have you ever run sottozero's?
