    The carbon button spring on my 308i 2v distributor needs replacing. The caps and buttons are good and I do not want to buy caps for the sake of carbon button springs. They carbons are 0.224" or 5.7mm diameter. Is anyone aware of replacement carbons? There are many for domestic cars out there. Thank you Wayne

    I took my 328 cap to Auto Zone and the guy let me go in the back and match it up with another one, but I can't remember what it was for. I think it was 6mm dia. and fairly common. Best, Mark

    Rutlands shows it as 959300069. That might be their own number. The parts books I looked in had no number.

    Ricambi used to supply them with major service kits.

    They were referred to in Ferrari books as "Carbonico".
