Earlier my 612 radiator hose burst and left me stranded on the side of the road, not fun.
After my shop took everything apart, the hose were cracking and worn, which is a surprise to me because i got mine new and only did 17k miles.
The hose will bubble up under pressure and later burst again like some others have found out here, and unless u did some stainless tubing stuff to replace it, it will burst again down the road.

So, he ordered better and stronger hoses than factory and got to work. Because i was very pixxed at the zh!tyy hose coming apart and leaving me with a powerless car or worse...
He then thought up a solution and here it is :

    zip ties are free :)

He guarantees the hose will NEVER burst AGAIN!!! Or he will pay for all the work !! :)
As always a bad thing that happens to my ferrari always come out a good one! haha.

A little confused, why are the pipes covered by a layer of what looks like zip ties?

    Retarded.

I think the guy was ultimately trying to show some solution for the large coolant pipe that runs under the intake plenum, from the water pump to the water distribution plenum. The trouble is, it never described the solution so isn't of much use.

The zip tied hose seems like an exercise in controlling expansion cycles. Strange.

This appears to be an odd looking fix, that could have been resolved with a Samco Racing Full Silicone hose cut to length, and a couple of stainless Wiggins clamps.

    Just my 2 bits...

While the aesthetics are questionable, one must agree that it is effective.

That's not going to win any awards, except maybe from Zipties R Us.
