Sadly while the interior is original, a previous owner dyed it from white to black. I hope to be the one to bring this car back to it previous glory but at present, I have my hands full with an emerald green 1976 ROW.

I also have what I think is a pretty special '75. Black / special order gelb (yellow) interior with safety graphics, Porsche sill graphics, and gazelle wheels all from the factory. It is undergoing a restoration and is currently being reassembled. Will post more in the coming months.

Wow. Beautiful car and wonderful uniqueness. I missed the boat on a 1975. Congrats on what will be a beautiful car when done.

Does anyone know where to send trim to be anodized for the perfect period look? I would really appreciate it if someone can provide a source either here or via message.

I have 1 in my 79 but not sure if it's correct

No one knows, I'd also like to find out.

The grey basketweave was used in 76-77 a 79 should have a black tool bag with a colored tag on it. I can post pics later.

    Jamie,

I've always heard that King of Trim did the best work- I've never had any trim re-anodized and would love to hear other suggestions as well.

Took a better look, mine is black but still the basket weave is that the correct one? It has no tag but it could have been removed.

I also have one that is smooth vinal with a tag, I have it for sale but may need to change plans.

The black basket weave bags are for long hoods, the smooth black vinyl is correct for your 79.

    Thanks Thomas.

Someone had given me a CD file format of the same service manual for a 1976 and for 1977. I copied and uploaded to a Dropbox file. Anyone is welcome to it here.

That said, original would be nicer in someone's collection. I am fortunate to have an original, full copy set too.

The spark plug socket, when did Porsche stop using the old style as pictured in your tool kit in favor of the 1 with the spring?
