    Just completed the install of the Immobilizer Bypass from ECU Specialists on my 1997 456. It was completed easily In less than two hours start to finish. It works perfectly and can be reversed to the original factory system in another couple hours if wanted in the future. Thanks Jorge!! Now how about doing one for the Immobilizer on my 1999 Lotus Esprit V8??

    If I needed to send the immobilizer and fobs away, where is the immo and is it hell to remove. Does it have to be flown to Aus in a briefcase chained to my wrist ?

    I have installed the unit on my 355. Unlike the 456, you don't have to take the interior apart. You slide the driver's seat forward, remove two screws, and you're there. I'm pretty sure Jorge has updated the installation instructions since my installation as I had to go back & forth with him a few times. Anyway, it works perfectly.

    However - I have a question. Has anyone who installed it had any radio problems? My Ferrari/Becker 'coded' radio quit working. It still powers up, but I can't tune it, and there is no sound. I am wondering if part of the immobilizer function is to send the proper code to the radio. Any thoughts? I just sent Jorge an e-mail today, so I'm not saying he is ducking the question, but I wanted thoughts from other users.

    Update & New Question

    Re: Radio - I have a 'coded' radio from a 360 in my car; it went dead after the installation. It took me a couple of days to think that disconnecting the electricity from the starting circuit might have 'broken' the coding. The problem was that I didn't think of that until I took the car in for its engine out service. Then I went on vacation, so I didn't get a chance to 're-code' for almost 6 weeks. It worked, problem solved.

    New question: Also, due to long absence from the car, I don't remember if it did this from the first time I started it with the immobilizer bypassed. When the car is cold, it starts immediately as soon as the key turns, but then immediately stops. It then starts and runs fine from then on.

    I'd really like to hear from a couple of other people who have the bypass. Does yours start and run, or does it need to be restarted?

    As far as the starting, I can't answer that question, mine car turns over my twice and starts but when cold maybe one more revolution. I haven't driven the poor thing in 6 months, I bought a MP4-12C and put 10k miles on it in 10 months. :)

    My 456 is a daily driver with the immobilizer installed. It starts every time without the fob and no issues.

    Keith- Yup, 1995 456s have Motronic 2.7, no OBD II, and no immobilizer, so it should start easily key only and never came with a fob.

    Yes, not me, but others have used one with good results. Sheet is kind of misleading since 575Ms have Motronic 7.1.1 and the system should work on that as well.

    I installed the Ecudoctor immobilizer bypass on my 355 and the product works as described, but the red alarm dash light between the vents blinks while driving the car now. I've confirmed that my alarm arms and works properly when tripped, and have Jorge looking into the schematics.

    Is anyone else experiencing this ? The light now blinks all the time.

    I know this has been beat to death, but I have all fobs and code. The problem? Zeroes in the code. It is not possible for me to enter zeroes with a dead fob. Of course I am a product of the pinball generation. I am in as soon as I get my car back from repair:)

    It can then be returned to stock for the next owner.....when I'm dead ;)
