Why 4? Such a small number. I say 10 comp cars, 10 GT vintage and 10 non vintage...

    Why 4 indeed(?).
A good and relevant question, one that scholars may debate for the millennia.

I fear the answer is only known to a monk living somewhere on a mountaintop in europe...
    Perhaps in the Swiss Alps.

1018 is great for Le Mans Classic and other track days. Or maybe even Tour Auto! :)

So for the Mille Miglia I would pick probably a nice 166 MM Touring barchetta, probably 0064 because of the beautiful two-tone, or a Vignale spider like 0140.

Then for hill climbing I would go for 0834 in Montagna spider form. Light, nimble yet powerful enough for its purpose and really beautiful.

And finally a 375 F1 monoposto (that's a competition car too, right?). They're engines on wheels!

Easy -- but I'm biased given I helped restore: 0402AM (it was a comp car before the crash and Scaglietti rebody), 0286AM, 0744MI (and I'd include 0768TR but it isn't allowed although it was my favorite)

The elusive 4th pick -- I've only ever admired it -- 06885 (over all the 250GTO's which are amazing but there are too many of!) Probably the most civilized out of all my choices as well.

Of course if someone started talking about the Scuderia Ferrari competition 2.3 / 2.9 / P3 Alfa's... my picks would change very fast.

Both would also be on my list, if not limited to only four choices--along with 0456AM, 0224AT, and several others of course.

You can trade in your 4 for 4 new cars as long as they all differ from your previous picks/no repeats.
    This goes for everyone. :)

First, thanks to everyone who has picked.

It is great fun to see what combinations people come up with.
I love reading every entry but I think I'm going to stop responding to each post as my comments may have gotten repetitive or boring about 3 pages ago.

Second, after careful consideration and bearing in mind the spirit of the thread as inspired by Marcel's post
    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/144353710-post4.html,

    Here are my picks-

    0224
    0460
    0594
    0826

    I think I'd have:

    1) 166 MM Berlinetta - S/N 0026
    2) 315S - S/N 0684
    3) 250 GT SWB - S/N 2119
    4) Ferrari 275 GTBC Speciale - S/N 6885
