That looks spectacular! I have several pictures of GLA12889 and one of them is labelled (not by me), "Rosso Metallizzato" - not that I think that that name really proves anything 'official'...?

FLA 12831 should be in the USA in the near future and I hope to convince the new owner to have the car photographed in detail for posterity, given its nice preservation status Image Unavailable, Please Login
The interior looks new! I do like the red piping complementing the external color. Thanks for sharing, and please let us know what the official color turns out to be
Ive come across 2 different types of original large air-duct hoses in the engine bays of DDs. Here is one example, all-black hoses with no cuffs, not sure of the material Image Unavailable, Please Login
The other type has the fabric cuff or tape application at the ends, I think these are neoprene-coated black polyester fabric hoses reinforced with a spring steel wire helixes, as fitted when new. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Bit off topic I know but is there an affinity between Countach owners and the 308? I know some UK owners who also have a 308/328 and I know there are some in the 'States in a similar lucky position, and not necessarily in big collections, just two cars in some cases if you can use the word "just" in this instance. You can explain this occurrence ( if there is one) with the similar age of the cars and growing up/posters/dream cars ( so a nostalgia trip) but the BB and Daytona would perhaps be a more compatible/comparable Italian F cars. I was pondering if it was something to do with the design that appeals to those with impeccable taste ( OK me!) yet they are intrinsically so different ( a Lotus Esprit would make more sense) with a Countach so wild and the 308 flowing femininity and more petite looking . Perhaps its a marriage made in heaven. Its a slow day with Xmas around the corner which gives me time to ponder these important esoteric issues!
Is it 12104? Previously white/red well known car to you, but then became bla/bla, but I'm not 100% sure.
I think many have compared this variant in the early days with the TR (below) as they both came out at the same time. Now there is a comparison with the 288 GTO of the same era because they are both FIA Homologated. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
