Thanks. I agree on the surface it looks strong money at £500k, but you couldn't buy a good Countach and then restore it properly to this ones condition for less than £700k and you would still have a higher mileage car and without the wonderful low mileage and history tale that this one has. It will appeal to a serious buyer who knows what he is looking at, not someone looking for a quick and cheap route into Countach ownership. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Cheap & Countach in the same sentence? Tell me it ain't so Seriously, this is one of the best original Countachs I have ever seen, good luck with the sale.
I meant Andrew, the owner. Unless you have purchased the car Dion? Either way, I don't disagree with your description of this beautiful example. My only sadness is that cars with low miles dont tend to be driven. R
The Rallye Racing magazine that originally featured Walter Wolf's 1120148 on the cover is in fact "08/76", the August 1976 issue, also featuring an airborne Niki Lauda in the Ferrari F1 car at the Nürburgring. The cover describes Wolf's car as a "Super Countach" capable of 315 kmh Image Unavailable, Please Login
A few images that we have not seen here before. Patrick Mimran did a clever thing arranging for Countachs to be circulating around the course all weekend, I bet that sold more than a handful of cars to F1 drivers and enthusiasts alike. These pictures were collected in a enthusiast group on FB, I was able to identify that the yellow car is a LP500s, it's the car IXO made as scale model. Unfortunately IXO made it completely wrong as white over red, that single LP500s was yellow/black, a plastic model company made a kit. My site will soon be updated with the newest pictures and findings: Lamborghini Countach Pace Cars in Monaco GP 1981-1983
Raymond unfortunately that's all I have. You have to go to the archive holder: https://revslib.stanford.edu/?f%5Bevent_ssi%5D%5B%5D=Monaco+Grand+Prix&f%5Bmarque_ssim%5D%5B%5D=Lamborghini&f%5Bphotographer_ssi%5D%5B%5D=Ove+Nielsen Personally I think you should go direct to the photographer, Schlegelmilch: [email protected]
Those were taken by Ove Nielsen not Schlegelmilch -> btw Rainer not Boris Using that link (https://purl.stanford.edu/wn704ms7353) you can zoom, via PrtScrn you can download a personal copy in 1600*1000Pixel. Look at this one with the first LP400S3 #1121312 and focus on the window handle, that's the LP500s Version! https://purl.stanford.edu/qx716nb0021 Beside Patrick Mimran's Rame #1121312 and the blue #1121244, Jean Claude's #1121314, there was this red one which was not an Intervention but the race directors car, see on the door "Directeur de Course", same in 1982 where 2 white cars were there, Jean Claudes LP400s #1121314 without wing and another white Countach with wing used also as race directors car. https://purl.stanford.edu/pr454dd8630 What crashed car is this in the back ground on the trailer, perhaps the Frua Faena? https://purl.stanford.edu/cy506nf5882 Edit, it's an aston Martin lagonda: https://revslib.stanford.edu/catalog/xj208fs9683

My parents recently moved down to TX and brought a few boxes containing my old toys, so my son got his first experience with Lambo doors on my Bburago Countach from the '80s. His favorite toy car is still the pull-back, race-spec Trabant but he definitely appreciates the fine lines of the Lamborghini. Image Unavailable, Please Login
