Hi guys, Great posts! Does anyone have any images from the 1962 Earls Court Motor Show. I believe 3931 SA was unveiled on the Pininfarina stand? Cheers,
Any pictures of the Daytonas presented at the 1968 Paris Salon or the 1968 Turin Show? At Paris, 11795 was the red Daytona on the Pininfarina stand, while 11929 was the blue Daytona on the Ferrari/Franco Britannic stand. At Turin, the only Daytona presented was white in color, and was most likely 11929, as repainted from its Paris blue color. I am undertaking a full restoration of my car (11929) with a view to bringing it to as close to how it appeared, in blue, at Paris.
Thanks Boudewijn. I believe the REVS archive own that image. Would be very interested if anyone has any further images.
Are there any images of a 1958 Motor show showing a good view of a 250 PF Coupe?? Many thanks Ken Goldman
Does anyone have photos of the 1952 Geniva motor show? I'm looking for a photo of 0233EU as shown there. Thank you -Rob
Again, 0233/EU was not a serial number in the range of the Geneva Show in march 1952. 0233/EU was the Ghia coupe Paris Show car in october 1952. The car shown at 1952 Geneva Show was 0191/EL which was later renumbered 0233/EU...
There is one in the 1958 factory yearbook from Paris 1958 and 2 excellent shots in the above mentioned book about the Paris Motorshows. Regards, Hugo
Anyone have pictures from these events? I know there is a photo in the 1967 Ferrari Annual of the London show but that is about all I have located to date. I am particularly looking for pictures of the Oro Chiaro 330 GTS. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Brussels 1953: 212 Inter Coupe PF - 0249EU 212 Inter Cabriolet PF - 0235EU 212 Inter Cabriolet Vignale - Looks like 0159E, but missing the small hood scoop. Of course, thank you. I see now that the confusion was caused by a photo of 0138AM that I had mislabeled as the rebodied 0125EL. This left the only possible matches for this car as 0173E (which couldn't have been in Brussels in '53) and 0159EL (except for the hood scoop).
BTW : 0173/E didn't have rectangular inside mirror but ovoid. Also the number of vertical bars in grill is different than the Brussels Show car.
My photos of 0173E show conflicting numbers of vertical bars, with the earliest of the photos showing what appears to be the same number as the Brussels Show car.
Of course not. Not only are the mirrors different (as you pointed out), but more importantly - and as I stated - 0173E couldn't have been in Brussels in '53. My point was that it's not the number of vertical bars that disqualifies 0173E, as that, at least, appears to be the same. 0125EL makes perfect sense as the Brussels car. It's the only other car with this body style (smooth, elongated rear fenders, etc.) that has the full-length ridge on the hood and no scoop. Of course, the fact that it's known to have been in Belgium at the time doesn't hurt either.
Hello, whether there is at whom exact information what numbers of the chassis were submitted on Paris Motor Show 1959? On a color photo from car showroom Cabriolet Series II Pinin Farina has darkly blue color similar to Blu Sera MM 16439 and perhaps red salon, the chassis 1537 GT under these parameters doesn't approach. Also from the right for a photo of Coupe Series II Pinin Farina has silver color similar to Grigio Argento MM 16003 possibly this chassis 1499GT? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Left to right: 1537 GT, Rosso Bordeaux. 1539 GT, Rosso Scuro Metallizzato. 1499 GT, Grigio Argento. See also pages 58 to 60 of Dominique Pascal's book "Ferrari au Salon de Paris 1948-1988", published by L'Autodrome Editions, January 2015. Marcel Massini
about 0125EL what was the original color of the car ,are there pictures of the car when it was a Berlinetta . Was the 250 GT # 0695GT a Brussels Motor Show car and if so what was the color of the car (yellow?)?
This photo supposedly shows 0125 EL as a Vignale Berlinetta (first and original body). Taken during the 15-19 August 1951 Liège-Rome-Liège Rallye at the Parc Fermé in the Palais des Princes Evêques in Liège. Marcel Massini Image Unavailable, Please Login
