Saw an XJ220 & Porsche Carrera GT parked out front a house in River oaks! Was quite the sight to see!! can't seem to upload photos anymore heres an link XJ220 - Album on Imgur
They were awaiting transport to California for a few weeks and will be returning. There were 4 other cars going as well. I spent some time with the Jag before it was leaving. Image Unavailable, Please Login Jason Cavallo www.cavalloautosalon.com
How long has that XJ been here? I seem to remember a silver one in river oaks area over a decade ago......
It's been in Houston for about 5 months but he just got it out of the shop. Now everyone on the Internet has been posting pics of it since he has it and is driving it haha. It's been spotted all over. He has a nice collection of cars and drives them all. Jason Cavallo www.cavalloautosalon.com
Holy **** that's one hell of a spot and even better Jason, you got to see it up close! . I've had a really rare sighting, just saw two different right hand drive Skylines. I thought they were illegal? One had Arkansas plates the other, japan. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Good to know. Btw, the one with the Japan plates turned into the gated community on louetta. Of course it did!
Saw a couple Aston Martin's on louetta over the weekend, interestingly enough in the same exact spot. The only one I can identify accurately is a white rapide.
Spotted a 250 TR Fantuzzi replica on Voss road turning into Whole Foods today at around 12:20. Red, very correct. Anyone know anything about this car? I have pics, but couldn't figure out how to upload them. Image Unavailable, Please Login
If I'm not mistaken isn't that the one that would always be at the Ferrari Festival? He always had Louisiana tags and the prancing horse on the back was a skeleton version. I think that was actually replicated with Ferrari parts. I could have dreamt everything though so don't quote me on anything hahaha Jason Cavallo www.cavalloautosalon.com
You are confusing it with tx246 Dino V6 replica, from the Festival. Not sure I have seen this one with the distinctive nostrils of the '61 cars. Now the REAL TRI61LM was in Louisiana for the 2004 FFQC, with Jim Spiro, but that was a $4M car (then!) and I think was then sold. Maybe it's back as that certainly looks like it. The 2004 FFQC thread no longer has the pictures to compare. I have some of mine at home, not digital for the most part.
With a spot like that I am amazed you did not follow and try to talk with the driver, I would have simply because it is most likely a "once in a lifetime" spot beit real or replica. Cool car thanks for sharing the picture.
I think you meant stalking is creepy. You are lying through your teeth if you say that if you were sitting across from that vehicle in traffic, and your both turning into opposite parking lots, that you would not make any attempt at viewing the car and possibly talking with the owner/driver about it?
No, I actually wouldn't. I saw the car, I have no need to actually speak to the driver unless at a gas station by chance or car show. Same goes for if I see a celebrity of any caliber, I have no need to bother them.
It is not about need it is about the passion and that is a cool car but to each their own. I have done this since the early '80s and was always met with appreciation because we were both car people.
I'm pretty sure he knows he is driving a Ferrari.... With the UNT murder, stop light conversation is OFF my list, of things to do.
I love the "turning into Whole Foods" part. Probably an "any excuse to drive it" trip. It's an impulsive act at best and excessive intrusion at worse. Says alot about a person if they would automatically think to run somebody down like that. I'd never chase someone down in a car, no matter how special. It's called common decency.
