I used a silver colored button about 1/2" in diameter with a loop on the back to thread one zip tie thru, then attached the longer tie to that and then to the seat ties, mostly hidden under the carpet. How about a bungee cord with the hook fed through from the bottom side of the floor mat and the cord passing back and under the seat slider rails and out to the other grommet hole? Maybe or maybe not, just thinking "out loud."

Just love you guys, it always brightens my day to open my computer and go straight to the F Chat. Bailing wire sounds like another great option.
I too have had mat creep and accelerator push, so I have read this thread with interest and decided to put some zip ties in as is shown. But when I looked at it and put a zip tie on the chair rail as is shown in the pics, I realized, I could not move the seat forward for accessing the rear. Not that I have little ones of any size to ride in the back but the storage in the back seat often requires folding the seat forward with the lever at the base. So I started looking around for another way to attach the zip tie from the mat. After feeling around for a bit, I realized there was a metal wire loop just under the left, and right, front corners of my seat. I suppose it is part of the spring system supporting the seats. I punched a hole in each side of the mat under the spring loop and attached zip ties. It is perfectly positioned above the mat and provides a far more hidden attachment point. And even better, I can fold the seat forward and it does not bind on the rail. And when I move the seat back, it pulls the mat back into place and holds it away from the accelerator. I have a pic here and you can see the wire coming down and the seat adjustment lever to the left and the rail left free. I only have white zip ties at the moment but when I find some black ones, it will be almost totally invisible. I am happy. Image Unavailable, Please Login
