Those guys at Gooding do bring in the buyers ~ as witnessed earlier this year: 2004 Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale | Gooding & Company
I'm only going to keep mine for up to another year or so (Retiring to Europe then). So it will get sold somewhere here in next 12 months... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Please keep me in mind when that time comes. I may be interested in purchasing a CS at some point in future.
I'll post here and try to sell it to an F-chatter. Its the way these cars should change hands imho. From the owner, known history (at least mine is anyways). I sure wish I knew what the car is worth...asking prices are all over and there were a couple of "low low mile" auction results driving the market up for all mileage cars...but who the heck knows what any one car is worth...oh wait, paging Stradale-lama...PM inbound Andrew...
Sounds good I agree much better to have the cars transferred between fchat friends and enthusiast who you know will cherish these cars and care for them properly !
Nailed the SP500 this whole year.. I even posted it on this thread. Long term projection is sideways to lower.. Short term.. Come Tuesday we bounce (minimally) for at least a few days.. As for the CS not really worried where prices go...
curious question (maybe already answered somewhere else); Why is the Ferrari Market Letter Asking Price Index so low (below $145k) for the CS compared to current (/ past 2-3 months) offerings published on eBay and other websites. Since it is an asking price index, I would assume it calculated based on the the 2 to be somewhat close... Plus it is not in line with their list of cars for sale. Are there cars that I do not know about that are selling at lower prices? Maybe I need to be educated on FML methodology here.
The only CSs at those prices are salvage titled ones. FML has been out of sync with prices on many models due to rapid appreciation.
hummm... I still don't get it as to why such a delay. They have been lagging for over 6 months. How do they calculate their asking price index?
May be Stokpro will chime in as he is the expert. I know of two factory striped cars with ~9k miles sold for $270kish and two non striped cars with ~14k miles sold ~$200k. Not considering the Copley car which is an outlier, I would think the black Scottsdale car be in the $325k range if the stock market fluctuations continue.
My Dad just purchased the Algar CS today! What an amazing and great example, these cars really are special! Anyone know who the original owner of this car was? Erik
Very firm, but it was exactly what we were looking for... Sub 5k, no stripe, and without a radio. The interior is a toss up to me, but is in such great shape that I'm not missing the red/black alcantera too much. We have 9 cars so it probably will only be driven a few hundred miles a year. We have a 355 Spyder with 8,600 miles that we have had since 03, and a 2012 SLS with 1,900.... Erik
