    Hi All,

After owning Ferrari's since 1998 and then selling my last F355 Berlinetta back in 2012 as it was hardly being used, I am now back in the market to buy another F355.

I was looking at the following model, what do you think or shall I look for a total standard one again?

Ferrari F355 Berlinetta by Kahn Automobiles | Afzal Kahn

Non-standard seats & steering wheel - 430-ish wheels (correct items all but unobtainable now) plus a few carbon fibre bits - your call !

With Challenge wheels & a decent steering wheel it'd look a lot better

Just spoke to the dealer, car not registered in the UK and no history what so ever with the vehicle. Ummmm basically I might be buying a MR2 with a Ferrari body kit lol. Thanks for the heads up.

Is it Me or is the rear brake disc scored to buggery?

I haven't followed Kahn Automobiles 355 stock but I have noted their 348 stock and this is what I have noted:

When the 348 market took off in the UK @ 18 months ago, Kahn Automobiles went from having a single 348 for sale to having 5~6 available almost overnight, all LHD and priced @ £2K less than the available RHD's.

As with a couple of other UK sports car specialists, noting that the 348 market on the Continent hadn't taken off yet, they bought LHD cars "cheaply" over there to bring back into the UK, hoping to double their money.

The problem was, very few people in the UK wanted LHD's (I'm not going to get into the whole: "LHD makes no difference" argument - The fact is, in general LHD 348's do not sell well in the UK!), and the Kahn cars were priced quite a bit higher than the other LHD's that were suddenly available. The cars didn't sell and so the prices were dropped, but they still didn't sell.

They've now had pretty much all of their LHD 348 stock for sale for well over a year now, and despite the fact that they're not selling, they've started t put the prices back up again.

I suspect it's pretty much the same story with their LHD 355's (and a lot of their other LHD stock!) - They've raided the Continent for "cheap" LHD cars hoping to double their money!

If I lived in the UK I also would want a rh drive car. Given the choice.

I had a LH drive car whn I lived in japan, and while It doesn't matter its just more of a pain in the butt at certain times. Like toll booths and such.

would require a mechanics inspection and a compression / leakdown test to ascertain the condition of the car.

As they've only photographed the one wheel, I'd be concerned that that disc is the least scored of the four!

If the previous owner couldn't be arsed to keep the brakes in good condition, what else did they not bother to maintain properly?

True its maintenance that should have been kept up on but OEM pads and rotors are only $500 and an hour of you time to put the on so not a huge deal.

true....you might even be able to turn the rotors....but not a big deal even if you have to replace them.

Most of their Ferrari's have no service history what so ever and are not registered in the UK so looks like I will not be dealing with this company to buy a car as I will have no idea what I will be getting.

    Thanks for all the advice.
