In most lighting situations and regardless of resale values, which exterior colors best showcase the very fluid lines of the 458 design? IMHO, it seems to be some shade of silver.
    Dare I suggest Grigio Alloy?

Silver ALWAYS shows lines and curves best in any car.

Red and white flattens the curves, black removes detail and exaggerates reflections.

Any color will tend to add emotion to your view of the car. So, bold colors tend to overpower the shapes.

Argento Nürburing, Giallo Tristrato, Rosso Maranello and Rosso California are some colours that shows off lines very well for sure. Whether the finishes are silver or have colour in them, metallic/pearl/flake finishes does it best.

Argento Nurburgring or Grigio Titanio, especially in indirect light or overcast conditions.

I personally own a TdF Spider, but I think that, purely for the greatest enhancement of the car's lines, I would go with Argento Nurburgring, Grigio Alloy or Grigio Titanio. The light metallic colors (grey or bluish, like GA) are generally favored by car companies when they display concept vehicles, due to their reflective properties and subtle shadings. That said, I can't think of many colors that don't do a 458 Italia or Spider justice! You pays your money and you takes your choice, as the old saying goes. Fred

Giallo Triplo Strato or Giallo Modena gives the 458 the presence it deserves. Under sunlight, both yellow show off the curves very well. Not too many cars can get away with being yellow, the 458 is among the few that can. It's not for everyone and it takes a little faith and courage to be different. If we can all be totally subjective and 'color blind', I can honestly say that I like every Ferrari color. But I love the yellow.

One has to see one in person under sunlight to fully appreciate the Scuderia Ferrari color.

Any of the silver family without a doubt. I think someone here had some flavor in 488 and it's stunning.

Titanio definitely does a nice job of showing the lines too. Grigio Silverstone is way too dark to do it I think.
