The missing pre cats will make it louder

So loud that I had to weld in the stock valves to keep it quiet in the neighborhood

Then we moved the sensors to the 1999 locations by welding in a new port

    Runs excellent and passes smog

Not sure why my post has an unhappy face

Is this saying that simply relocating the o2 bungs to the location of the 1999 headers ( without precats) that this alleviates the CEL issues ? Is the ECU in the 1999 programmed differently to not trigger the CEL since it doesn't have a precat ?

If you sell your car with gutted cats you can be held liable. Based upon this and advise of counsel, I replaced my cats and kept the OEM factory units in tack for resale

I am keeping all OEM parts for resale. Manifolds, muffler, tips, seats, interior panels, starfish wheels, etc. Sadly the only thing I don't have is the radio. In fact I usually end up putting my cars back to factory spec before selling since the upgrades are worth more via parting out and selling individually than you can get for them in a vehicle sale.
