Sure, but if they use Brandon Weeden, the sky's the limit. After all, JJ said he had the best looking pass in the NFL. 😀 T
You may hate Kubiak... But O'Brian leaving Hoyer in for the whole game vs KC has to be one of the biggest bonehead coaching decisions in NFL playoff history. Enjoy O'Brian. He and Pagano will be be fighting for the worst coach in the division next season. Lol
Actually, what an even bigger bonehead move is having Hoyer as your starter and Weedon as your backup.
I dont hate Kubiak, and I've always been a Broncos fan. But I'm just ticked off as a number of houstonians who see him pass over Peyton for Matt 6-Pick Schaub only to see him coach Peytons team a few years later playing in the AFC championship. Believe me, I'm not the only one.
Huh. I thought he'd won a Super Bowl. Wiki says no. AZ has more than a fighter's chance, but Palmer needs to step up. They play that same game they did against Green Bay against Carolina & they'll get blown out...T BTW, my pics are Patriots and Arizona.
From what I saw in the GB @ ARI game, Palmer was great between the 20 yard lines, then choked in the red zone each time. Panthers have a better defense than GB; if Norman can keep Fitzgerald from going off, and the offense doesn't bail Arizona out like it did last year, Panthers will be Super Bowl bound.
Nick... What's interesting is that Charlie Casserle of the NFL Network does not think that the other DBs can shut down Floyd and Brown. Injuries to Benwikere and Tillman could prove huge, even if they get past Cards and need to go against Pats. Getting pressure on Palmer will be key, I think...T
Fitz has been to one other Superbowl (2009 I believe) vs Pittsburgh where they lost. Kurt Warner was the Arizona QB at that time. Three major plays that decided that game 1) James Harrison intercepted Warner at the end of the 1st half, on the goal line, then ran the ball back 100 yards as time expired for a TD. That was a potential 14 point swing , and at least a 10 point swing. It was the most amazing defensive play that i have ever seen, given that he is a 250lb linebacker running and weaving his way for 100 yards, and avoided being tackled or pushed out of bounds with no time on the clock. 2) on the game winning drive, Arizona had Rothliesberger sacked for 15-20 yard loss, at his own 5 yard line, only to have him shake the defenders off and throw a laser first down pass. That play went from a potential 3rd or 4th and 25/30 to a first down. Had Arizona sacked him, it very likely would have sealed the win for their first Superbowl. 3) and of course the perfect pass/incredible catch for the go ahead touchdown late in the fourth quarter It is a game of inches indeed....
Oh, no doubt. And Denver's not there solely because of Manning. He really hasn't looked all that great this year.
I agree about Manning, however Sunday's game vs Pittsburgh was more about his receivers dropping balls (total of 8 I believe) than about Manning being less than stellar. If his receivers hang on to that balls, it likely wouldn't have been a close game.
