It can be, it may not be now is what I meant. In 2018 car will be 25yo which will make entry of all XJ220 types from overseas easy .

That's excellent - I saw a few pics on Instagram a couple of days ago and got really excited. Great to see it like this again!

I realize the XJ220S is a more rare breed than the "standard" XJ220 - what is the current market value on a standard XJ220?

Really awesome looking cars - I liked them when introduced, but think they aged wonderfully. I love the look, really unique.

I so want to see this and, even more so, your XJR-15. Such a timeless design and the S model adds an air of aggressiveness that is just beyond words. Are you able to bring the XJR to C&C?

Was reading about Don Law somewhere these days and thought about this car. I remember reading about it here when you bought it. Great to see it's in ship shape! Same can be said about bmwracer's blue car! I love these, and I'm glad they are in the hands of people who do, too!

When you take the car apart, you realize what a work of art it is, aircraft technology, way ahead of it's time. No wonder they cost so much new

This. I happened to be at Ferrari of Atlanta when they were doing a refresh on a silver XJ-220 they sold on consignment. The entire back half of the car was torn down and the amount of engineering in a car of this era was astounding.

Hi Joe, the XJR-15 is going through a fine tooth fettling to the same standard as the XJ220S and will be ready this spring. Hope to have it here by April.

Great pics Erik ! As you know, tub is shared with the LeMans winning XJR-9 tub. Body was designed by Peter Stevens who later left TWR to join McLaren and pen the F1.

No wonder the F1 looks similar. Good looking tub.

Thanks for the very interesting thread!

The 220 made a huge impression on my young brain when it came out. I saw the concept car at a design conference in Coventry back around 1989, and from it I just assumed all production XJ220's were the same V12 drivetrain.

But here I am, and learned something new today!

Would love to see all of the cars returned to their original spec and presented somehow. Cheers for the pictures guys, I'm eternally jealous.
