see 2 on Ebay around $220k. All else are $240k-$260k. Same on Autotrader. And the avg price is $256k. I also suspect the Huracan will remain where it is for some time. Lows of $220k for base cars that only had $240k stickers or that have "stories" or are boring colors. Good examples will remain over $230k for some time.

I also suspect the 580-2 and R8 will actually help 610 flatten and hold. Multiple lesser product will serve to bolster 610. And since the R8 and 580-2 are already huge value at $190k-$200k they will likely hold value better. Also, LP560 will find a floor of $130k (first gen Gallardo creeping up) so the Huracan will stabilize rapidly after initial drop.

Its all speculation. If depreciation the was top priority I would have gone Ford GT on high side and GTR on the low side! I don't buy cars like these primarily motivated by fiscal prudence ;-).

I wanted the best looking car to my eye - taught, aggressive, square stance, ultra-short overhangs, beast of a NA engine and nasty sound. Having owned enough crazy high hp cars this Huracan still feels bonkers rabid fast, yet is refined enough for business calls on the highway. I am blown away with the versatility of this car. Its like an S8 crossed with an F1. I am now considering a California as my daily GT with its front engine and hard top/drop top!

LOL. I think you meant to say YOU feel MORE emotion to with Ferrari. Because surely you must know how absurd you sound to refer to a Lambo - ANY Lambo for that matter much less the one that nearly all journalist agree is currently the best driving Lambo right now - as "no emotion". Buhahahah.

But no worries, I know how to translate cynical speak ;-)

Very nice look...I test drove a 650s and a Huracan back to back a couple of years ago during Monterey Concours week...both were insanely fast with the Huracan sounding much better. I too would buy a Huracan as my next toy...

As a 3 time NSX owner I'm sure I will own a 458. Its high strung like it, has a beautiful organic if albeit understated form and is a blast to drive and own.

I need a lift and a few more garages!

Owned a Huracan last summer and absolutely loved it. Sold it only to make room for my 488. I would definitely consider buying another ...I've owned many many cars and can tell you without a doubt the Huracan has plenty of emotion just different than Ferrari.

I test drove a Huracan 2-3 months ago and it was a freaking blast. Loved the interior and was so easy to manage. The best part was the absolutely ridonkulous noise it makes - especially after mashing the pedal and then lifting to get those delicious overrun noises...very addictive.

However, I'm less enamored with the exterior looks of the Huracan while I love the looks of a 650S. As for the 488, I'd personally prefer a 458 Speciale.

To me, the perfect car would be the exterior looks of the Macca + pedigree of the Fezza + noise & interior of the Lambo.

It's a tough call. Great problem to have though!

I used to think I preferred the 650s appearance. Then I saw them side by side. The Macca looked blunted and dumpy by comparison. I was shocked.

    For example check this clip.

You were comparing a hardtop convertible to a coupe. Of course the convertible is going to look worse.

It is true the coupe 650s looks better than the spider. But what struck me most wasn't even near the roofline or buttresses.

Let me try and explain. It is the front end and overall design of the car. The Huracan looks chiseled, taught menacing sculptured perfection. It looks like it is being sucked down to the earth even when sitting still. The 650 looks soft and blunted at the nose and does NOT look like its being sucked to the earth if that makes sense. And that to my eye applies also to the coupe - though it does look better than the spider.

Ferrari, Lamborghini, and McLaren are all designed for a specific buyer profile. Until you truly understand yourself, the way you drive, and specific preferences, you'll have a hard time choosing one over the other. They are all fantastic cars in their own target segment and truly deserve admiration and respect. To me...

Ferrari...beauty, sound, resale, richness in racing history
Lamborghini...power, masculine, sound, and dare to be different
McLaren...engineering purity, clinical precision, hi-tech construction

Similar to choosing a mistress, whichever invokes the most passion in you usually wins. Numbers and statistics never do.

Biggest complaint I had was the damn Dynamic Steering. Very disconnected feeling.

I like my dynamic steering. I've had some great steering cars Lotus, Evo, NSX, 993 etc. It has awesome turning. And I love how fast the rack is at low speeds. Feels like a go cart.

Few possessions in a man's life give more pleasure than a beloved dream car that truly represents his ideals. Mine is the 458 Italia in Giallo Modena. It has taken me a long time and too many exotic cars later to truly understand.
