I saw a picture on facebook today of what looked like a 375MM crashed from behind, attributed to this year's Cavallino. Was that this year, or was the caption wrong?

Not a 375MM, but the 290MM 0616 (Ed Davies), crashed the second day at Moroso track, under heavy rain

I was eating dinner at the Flagler Steakhouse on Sunday evening (just across the street from the Breakers). The waiter mentioned someone crashing a 1969 Ferrari (365 GT 2+2?) at the conclusion of the Concorso due to a stuck throttle, damaging the rear of the car after losing control. Anyone else hear anything along these lines?

The waiter was pretty emphatic it was a road car, and happened right outside the Breakers' driveway on Saturday afternoon as the Concorso was disbanding . . .

There were two 365GT 2+2s entered in the Mar-a-lago show on Sunday. Only the black one arrived, leaving the light metallic blue (azzurro metallizzo?) one absent. Hope it wasn't that one!

Leaving the show driving my 500 Mondial on Saturday afternoon after the show, I exited the Breakers driveway turning north on North County Road. It is a four lane street and the next intersection is about 1/4 mile away. The first car in front of me was a modern red Ferrari. In front of him was a modern black Ferrari. About 100 yards from the Breakers Driveway I saw the black car accelerate and make a lane shift from the curb lane to the left lane. Then the rear of the car started to spin out to the left, the driver over corrected and the car then did a 180 clockwise spin into and across the oncoming traffic lanes, hitting the far curb sideways, jumping it and stopping with two wheels on the road and the car resting on the sidewalk facing south. By the time I passed the scene there was an oncoming police car already pulling up behind the incident. The driver was very fortunate that there was no oncoming traffic at that instant and that no pedestrians were on the section of the sidewalk. While I do not know the various new Ferrari models very well, the car in question was NOT a 365GT 2+2.

Interesting that the red Ferrari continued north as did I, but he was driving very slowly and cautiously after seeing the incident happen right in front of him. Perhaps a new owner or a mechanic.

    That is all I saw.

    Best regards,

    Robert
