Price: $154,000 Key Options: 1) CCM Brakes 2) Carbon Fiber Racing Seats 3) 16M Front bumper 4) Carbon Fiber 16M rockers 5) Rubino Metallic - Exterior , Tan - Interior 6) New Clutch 28,400 miles (so ~4k miles on clutch). 7) Includes Full service 8) 32,200 miles (it's been driven .. ) Overall condition : Excellent Note: I am having the front bumper repainted due to stone chips thru the clear-bra. Values of F430 manuals just skyrocketing. These are the asking prices on autotrader.com from what I can see atm (two of these are unlisted --you need to call to get pricing). 260k, 239k, 225k, 219k, 229k, 229k, 219k, 207k To be honest, depending on the resource there's anywhere between ~250-500 manual F430/599GTB/California in North America and no more are being made. I easily see these 8 cars being snatched up March-May around the time we see a yearly sports car buying frenzy. These cars are like stocks, but unlike stocks no more are being made. Between the 370 million people living in North America, just ~1 in a million people need to buy these as a collectible for values to keep appreciating. It's supply and demand --and to be frank, they look like promising investments based on the numbers. I'm predicting an average value of around 300k by end of summer --August. Let's see how my prediction pans out. I think it's wise for someone to grab that 207k one ASAP provided the car has no story.
I'm all for the prices going up - heck I own one. However, the reason I started this thread was to get actual transaction prices v ask prices. moritz55 (see back about 4 posts on this thread), just purchased a nice, well advertised example at $155K. I am guessing that is market correct as the car was well advertised and the car was on the market for a little while (more than one thread on that car in this forum if memory serves me right). So, I really hope you are right about where prices are going, but I do not think we are close to that yet.

I think we all should be interested on how much that manual '07 Spider with the alligator interior and 500 miles will go for at the auction in Arizona this Friday. I plan to keep my '08 3-pedal coupe for as long as possible as I see it as an appreciating asset. It only has 5000 miles and I'm the original owner and with values going up I'm even more scared than ever to drive it now.
Speaking of insurance....I have my 430 2008 gated 6 speed insured thru Hagerty for 155K for 3200.00 a year......Is there a better place to insure these?...I want to increase it to 190 or 200K value. Who has the best rates?
I insure all my cars with Chubb. You may need some sort of appraisal to raise your insurance limits that much. I think Chubb will let me raise up to 10% value per policy period without an appraisal.
There is no comparison with Geico. I looked into Geico once. Their policy states you have to go to one of their approved facilities, and they can use non-OEM and or used parts. That is completely unacceptable to me. Chubb will be much more expensive than Geico. In fact, when I looked into Geico, maybe 10 years ago, they wouldn't touch a Ferrari. Who knows, they may be insuring them now. Also, Chubb is a very well-known company. They mainly insure luxury homes and other types of property.
"mtmilam" ... I switched recently from Hagerty to Grundy Worlwide. I have 4 cars... a 1973 Datsun 240z, 1991 Toyota MR2 Turbo, 2002 F360 6mt coupe and now a 2005 F430 6mt coupe. Increased my valuations on the Ferraris significantly without any appraisals ... may adjust them up depending on how prices do on 6mt's entering the spring. Saved $1600 annually... Very interesting. I had not heard of Grundy. While checking out their website I found they underwriter with Chubb and Ace. Chubb and Ace have just announced they were going to merge. Hopefully their rates will go down. Thanks for posting the link.
Seeing the high miles and how many options on that car are aftermarket an 05 mt still sold for 154 !! Thats a great sign for the mt market .

Crap... I can't believe how price for Ferraris move... In my whole life over 50+ cars that I have bought, I have never made profits. The only opportunity I had was when Carrera GT came out. I almost bought it. The brand spanking new one's price was around $450K. Now used one costs $750+.... Should I look for a 430 gated, drive it and take really care of it for 10+ years? Of course I am going to keep my Spider F-1 too... 2 Horses in the garage will look good... But my wife's current nagging for a Vantage roadster has to be compromised... Hmmmm You guys are making me drool for a gated shifter....
With 599GTB manuals going for 600-700k more or less, 2 Californias in existence with a manual which probably are worth easily in excess of $1million, I'd say 300k for the F430 considering the production numbers is a reasonable assumption as to where the prices will head within a year or two (I think end of summer were going to get close to that figure IMO). Exotic car buying season is traditionally March-May so expect prices to head upwards quickly the next few months. Prices are probably 'cheap' compared to what we'll soon see. I've gotten two offers out of the blue in January for my F430 manual but declined both. Why sell when values are going up rapidly, right? Not much downside at this point in time.
