Great detailed thread, thank you. Are you planning to do one covering what to do with it once it is out? Cover some of the basic major service stuff? There is one on here that is pretty good about a 348 but i havent seen one on a 355 major and common problems to look for. Thanks again.

WOW. Thanks for taking the time to document this. I know it is a real pain to stop and take pictures along the way. Dirty hands make it doubly hard.

    Nice work man....

I wish I had such a detailed write up when I started on my spider!
Not much to add other than that I am curious what tricks are involved in assembling the whole thing again.

Thanks for taking the time to document your engine removal, I know that all of the pictures take a lot of time.
Know that I will be referring to it when I pull my engine.
    Thanks AGAIN!

Bud, your 95 will be slightly different. This is for a 96 or later.

Hi Yelcab, Great write up. I hope you don't mind my turning it into this PDF. Its easier for me to store for later. I tried not to change any of your intended content. Saved along with the older PDF from a few years ago, it's great information.

If you want it removed, or preferred to do your own, no prob, just let me know.

If you would like the original Pages version to edit, let me know.

HMMM ... your original post is missing No.s 27, 28, 29. Do you want to add anything, should I renumber, or leave it alone? Maybe we should leave them out so people will always wonder, kindofa Nixonian thing.

Just saw this for the first time. Great stuff. Not gonna lie, I'm used to having my early 911 engine on the floor in one hour flat. Even my 993 engine only takes a few hours. This looks....complicated.

Yes, I remember them and it’s a a pity they’ve gone. Some sold their cars and moved on to other things while some were hounded out over the years by vested interests or people irritated that our cars have been de-mystified.

I still work on the assumption that this is an owner’s forum. Some people don’t like it, but the more info that’s out there about our cars, the better it is for owners — that’s why threads like this and the original one from RF are so great.
