My mistake. It's definitely a scam. I decided to send an email on a whim and just received a response saying the car is still available. I did some research, found a personal contact number, and called the alleged owner of the company directly ("Donald Large"). The person who picked up said it was a scam and lots of people have already lost money to this. He said that Donald Large retired from selling cars 6 months ago and never sold cars of this caliber. Apparently, I was the first to call on the Scud. Others actually sent deposits for some of the other 'inventory.' I found the listing on Cars.com the day it went up. It disappeared in hours. Cars.com probably caught on.
I wonder how they are manipulating Carfax. Seems to be legit VIN #s. They must be highjacking legit #s by offering them for sale?
But if that 6300 mile scud was real, how much would it really be worth? Obviously not 155k which is much too cheap IMO
According to a broker friend who has purchased two Scuds for clients last fall (2015), the price at that time for a 'no stories' car with good service history and similar miles was around $220k. During spring of 2015 he was paying 180k to 190k. I don't know what selling prices are today.
