    Where may I find the factory specs for induction voulme on the 348 v the 355. How much more is the 355?

    If you mean the volume of the helmholtz resonators, I don't know of anyone who has the numbers, nor anyone who has measured.

    But the F355 is larger than the 348.

    You could ballpark it using the factory service/technical manual drawings. If you know the valve diameters in the cutaways, you can extrapolate the approximate diameter and length of the intake runners to get a reasonable estimate. This would probably work pretty well since the runner shapes are pretty geometrically simple...

    The 348 uses a 30.3-30.5 mm intake valve and a 27.3-27.5 mm exhaust valve. The 355 uses a 28.4-28.6 mm intake valve and a 26.5-26.7 mm exhaust valve. You can use the 2 pics to extrapolate approximate measurements of the intake trumpets. Just the length alone will allow to to ballpark the resonant frequency, but because the local speed of sound changes as the runner contracts/expands and the air changes temperature as it nears the intake valve you won't be able to calculate it exactly. Still, better than nothing. Worth noting that it looks like the 355 throttle blades are shoved way down the trumpet in this pic, whereas the 348 is before the plenum. I haven't driven a 355, but if I were a betting man I'd say 355 has better throttle response than the 348 based on that observation alone...

    I cc'd the stock 348 intake plenum. Each plenum holds 1825/ml of water, or 1.825 liters per side.

    When I got my throttle bodies ported RobZ test them on the flow bench.
    The OEM 54mm 348 TB = 458 CFM @ WOT

    Fchatter TheItalianJob tested his stock heads on the flow bench.
    Intake port flowed 209cfm @ .360" of lift, with the stock 30.5mm intake valves.

    Ernie, Can you translate that into something a little more understandable. Is that just the 348 side of the equasion. The 355 plenums look to be somewhat larger. The air induction on the 355 is a straight hose from it's individual air box. The 348 has the octipus with one air box and multible bends in the hose. Did you do a thread on the porting of the throttles?

    Ernie, It appears that I am just following you through life and didn't know you were leading. This all started when I saw the mod. of installing 355 airboxes to the 348. I bought two 2.7 355 airboxes and plan to install them. Then I was thinking about silicone hoses to the MAF's. Now I read about TB porting. What a great idea. Removing the screens on the MAF's is good.I adjusted my MAF's to account for the lack of CAT's. (I'm one of those) I have s single hydraflow muffler. So, it appears the TB's should be next.. I'm just playing. Thanks for the help. All constructive ideas are welcome from everyone.
