this is great to hear, as a fellow FF fan (we're on our 2nd car). We have a 16 CTTS as our "family SUV" and I use a slightly tuned Fiat Abarth as a low profile (ha!) commuter car.... As for the annoyance of fuel stops, I even have the same issue with the Fiat (small tank, even with 30-35mpg on highways). Personally, I don't mind stopping for fuel fills, at least while it's less than $2.50/gal. As for reliability, once we fixed the bad battery issues in our first car (literally, the batteries were just terrible from the supplier), our cars have been relatively bulletproof (knock on wood). The only "long time in service" was waiting for a new windshield, from Italy, in August, when our first car had it broken accidentally while getting the PDI done! maybe our dealer is just that good at turning cars around (they are damn good).
I ended up getting a G63! So far, so good. I mean, it's not the most fun to drive. Now i am looking for the Aventador replacement
Agree re G63. But it has its own charm. The thing that drives me crazy is no place to put anything in front eg phone, remote from garage etc.
Your particular FF is a 'lemon' (I am NOT referring to the FF in general just the car you own) And more importantly it is spoiling the fun of owning a car that should make you happy. That's what a Ferrari should be. I too had a Ferrari lemon. It was in the shop every month. I completely agree with you : Get rid of it ASAP. Go buy another Ferrari or whatever else. I went and bought a 458 spider and am delighted with that car!
i think driving a Ferrari daily is also a problem. most don't get drive that much. I'm waiting for my 488 now. Replaced the Aventador with a GT3 RS. Couldn't be happier.
We have a G63.. Has been in the shop more than the FF...in general both are less than the S63...our FF has been bullet proof..main difference is we do not get a loaner with FERRARI....if we asked they would do it
It seems most FF are very reliable, and a very few are electrical lemons, a very few have transmission issues which can be serious. The transmission issue has been known by Maranello since 2011 ... same issue with the 458, Cali and FF DCT from Getrag.
