She's HAPPY to be back in the sun!!!! Valeria missed her SO much, she bought a Mazda, that color!! On the bright side, she's complete "books and tools" now...
The car is currently in for a full respray and much other work. I will post when back from Keys Motorsport Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Can anyone help by informing me if the 1979 GTB had the lower section of the sills painted in black or body colour? It is in the paint shop now and I want to have it done as it came out of the factory. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I know this thread is due for an update!! I was cleaning old files and came across these, from the epic trip ....East gate of Yosemite park, near Mono Lake, outside the Whoa Nellie Deli.... Image Unavailable, Please Login
So I shared this with the new owner, but it turns out the Code on #22641 is actually: 20-A-349 The Factory also references it as: Azzuro Dino 5898349 Anyone have an example of that particular blue, on a 308? I always thought is was Azzuro Metallica.....I was wrong! Apologies for any confusion!!
This is Dino blue. It is a repaint, the color is glossier and "deeper" looking than the original, but the color is correct. I have some questions about the boxer finish. On mine I can tell there is or was blue underneath the boxer black at come point. The originality certificate I have from Ferrari does not mention boxer paint. Aaron Image Unavailable, Please Login
So it is darker, they must have sprayed lighter on the one repaint. Thanks, Nerofer has posted that the Boxer trim was factory applied as a "Final Step" in paint, so you will find the top exterior color, under it. As for any Factory verification, it's impossible to get. In fact I do not see the Owners Garage Section at the factory website any longer, that confirmed that Code! I had it in old paperwork I filed during ownership.
Alan, Look at the right column on the page for which there is a link hereunder: so right column, second car from the top (its a GTS, but...the color is the same!) Rgds 308-328.com
Guys, I'm getting confused... Azzurro Dino is a non-metallic color, but Alan's car was definitely metallic. ??? Robert
I need to dig a bit but I took a pic of a car that fits this description... light metallic blue over black boxer trim. I took the pic as a kid in the mid 80's... probably around 1986 in Oklahoma City at the Cruise International Auction we used to have in the big oil days. I'll find the pic and post it asap.
We have sanded thru the color it wore thru out my ownership. I always assumed the FIRST repaint maintained the original blue. But they are sanding the car down now, and have discovered a color no one had seen, so my assumptions on the metallic paint, were wrong. This Code were are tracing now was provided when I regiestered mu ownership with Maranello. One would HOPE whoever furnishes that data knows what they are talking about!!! deep irony in that the red car I sold, 20405, was also blue!! Originally. The saying here in the States is: "Every time a Ferrari crashes, it gets painted RED!"
