Has this thing hit 200,000kms yet?
My 99 had 16K miles on it when i bought it a year and a half ago. She now has just shy of 22k miles. I dont give it a second thought to pile on miles. I dont drive it daily as it would get "old" like anything else you use all the time and i would get bored with it but i do drive it at least 1-2 times a week and if i get the itch at any time i take her out. Whats the point of taking up garage space, $3k in average annual maintenance (this is a ballpark number but is pretty universal). a grand in insurance, etc, etc to just let it sit in the garage. Any additional depreciation to me is balanced out by my lower maintenance cost per mile and the smiles i get. The first year i had her i spent ZERO in maintenance. In the last 4 months its been an A/C compressor rebuild, a new clutch, annual service, new brakes on all four wheels and I upgraded the TCU to the latest spec Buy it, drive it, keep it or sell it..............Rinse and repeat
Amazing and thank you. This sort of information takes years to gather and we are lucky to have your insights.
You are not driving enough ... I put that many miles on mine in one year. I bought it last April with 17K and it will hit 22K this weekend.
Our 360 CS is at 42.5k miles+ and running as-new! Mileage is a mindset, nothing more. (if well maintained)
100,000 miles on the original exhaust. No incidents with pre-cats. I wonder if that issue arises only when an after market exhaust is involved?
I was contemplating getting a 360 as my daily driver so I popped over to ferrarichat to see if that was a practical proposition or if 360's were garage/trailer queens... this certainly indicates that it's totally possible!
Just get out and enjoy your 360. Life is too short to worry about keeping the mileage as low as possible, and we are not going to be able to take them with us on our final departure are we. We purchased ours with 40,000kms, and have covered another 2,500 kms in the short time we have owned her. A fabulous car to own, reliable, sounds amazing and brings a smile to our faces every time we start her up. That's more important than her sitting in a garage and being scared to put mileage on her.
