    To all fellow Angelenos,

I have no history with any Ferrari dealerships. If I walked into, let's say Ferrari of Beverly Hills, how long would I have to wait for a new 488 Coupe without purchasing preowned models to improve my position?

    Thanks for all your help!

    Peter

You'd have better luck buying a used one in a year or two. Ferrari dealers don't get that many new cars. A 1st time buyer could be several years out or never depending on who decides they want a car.

I was in LA a few weeks ago and I overheard a convo about this exact same thing. The dealer said they would need to buy another Ferrari from THEM before they would add you to the list.

I do work quiet a bit with the different Los Angeles dealerships. I would say 2 or 3 years if at all.

    Maybe for a 488 gtb
Even a suitcase isn't enough for a tdf.

Is it really that hard to get a car in the States . I just put my deposit down and they told me spring 2017. I am in Canada and I was told 25 cars per year . I also called a dealer in upper New York and they told me the same 2017 allocation .

Go in and overpay for a used FF and tell them you want a car in 18 months.

Most dealers have this approach for new buyers, especially for a new model like the 488.

This is BS. FoBH asked me if I want to buy a 488 and I've never bought a car from them (just use their service). But I'm special.

On the other hand, for limited editions, they have scoffed at my repeated requests.

Call James at FERRARI of Beverly Hills. They are a great dealer and James will work it out for you. If not him call Bryant "The Car Shrink" The Car Shrink ? The Doctor Is In and he has connections

In my opinion and from my personal experience, it doesn't matter who you call, you'll be waiting a minimum of a year and probably more unless you're willing to pay over MSRP. Just saying...

I wouldn't do it but you should consider paying over MSRP... Or buy a FF...

Build reportedly started this week. Haven't gotten my first "shell" photo yet but hoping 8-9 weeks from now as I'm doing standard shipping.

I must admit I'm envious. I haven't even recieved an allocation. I cut a deal with my dealer and had them sell my 458 in April for a nice profit, so that I could get an early allocation. I'm being told that theyre not getting enough cars to give me an allocation. I know everyone at my dealership including the owner and have bought 3 previous new Ferrari's. I thought I had a strong relationship with the General manager and was touching base with him every week, but finally accepted that fact that I was only frustrating myself by continuing to ask where my allocation is. Ferrari is the only product you can buy that works this way. When they're ready to give me a car, I guess I'll get one.

The last thing I wrote the Gereal Manager is that he will not hear from me again and that I will try and act like a big boy and wait my turn. That was 7 weeks ago and I haven't heard a word since.

I have a few friends getting their cars this month. Very, very frustrating.

I always liked that Stradale version interior you did on one of the Italia models you had.

Seriously... screw the 488 and all this crap about who gets a car and who doesn't and how many years you have to wait.

If I wait its for the Dino. If I'm going to buy a Turbo car I don't need to spend 300 grand and I don't need a car that goes 210 MPH.

458's I think will be a real bargain next year. Get one of those and be happy. Worried about warranty? Get a certified car and ask them to throw in one or 2 years of their warranty program for free.
