Gentleman - Thanks for all the responses to my other two posts. 1) Just curious if anyone can recommend a good steak house or two in Naples? Any other restaurants you would recommend for Naples and/or Key West? I'm allergic to seafood. 2) Any cool bars you'd recommend? Any with a view of the Gulf from Naples? Key West should be easier since we plan on just walking around all day. 3) Is there a good "booze cruise" that covers Naples Bay or other? Just for a few hours to get on the water and look at homes? 4) Any other recommendations for things to do? I enjoy cars and powerboats also. Thanks, MDS
I don't think there is any stand alone bars on the beach in Naples so to get a drink and watch the sunset you'll have to go to one of the bars that is part of a hotel. The Naples Beach Club is down by the pier and Sunday sunsets have been very popular in the past. I used to live just a few blocks south of the Beach Club and used to walk over and grab a drink at the pool bar. I don't know what they have up at the north end of Naples by the Ritz but I'd rather be in olde Naples anyway. There used to be a few small cruise boats that would take you down the bay and out Gordon Pass but I think they have been replaced by some bigger boats. I see this one go by the pier sometimes but I don't know what its like. Cruising the bay and checking out the homes is fun. I've done it a thousand times but in my friend's boats. BTW there are boat rentals if you wanted to do it on your own. Naples Dinner Cruise, Naples Sightseeing Tour, and Naples Lunch Buffett Cruises on the Naples Princess Luxury Yacht, Naples, FL (Florida), Marco Island, and the surrounding area.Naples Princess Cruises | Naples, FL Cruises I highly recommend the Revs Institute. The collection is spectacular and so is the way they are displayed. You need to purchase your tickets in advance as they don't take walkups but once inside it is very relaxed and you will see some amazing cars. https://revsinstitute.org/ I'm not up to date on the hottest night spots. If you're down in the old Naples area you can walk down 5th ave. south or if you're in north Naples you could hit Mercado which is an open mall type place with a few bars in it. Can't help you with the Steak because the closest I come is a Philly Cheese in the Mall

Thanks guys - good tips. We fly down February 6th and will be returning on the 14th. I plan on hitting "Cars on 5th". MDS
Just had dinner at Capitol Grill. OUTSTANDING! Flemmings, Shula's all great steak places. Cars on 5th is a must do! Come on down and say hello! I'll be there all day! Bars: Any along 5th ave, Tommy Bahama's on 3rd St South, Bayfront is cool. Have fun and enjoy!!!
+1 for Mercado for some nightlife. It's not on the water but it's one of the "hippest" places to hang out. There are some fun bars there and of course that's also where the Capital Grille is. A relaxed up-and-coming cool joint is called tacos and tequila. Look that up if it sounds interesting to you.
