It's on the loooong list. Yes, but I do agree the challenge grill on white would look very nice...

It just ties the car's lines together so well (and I suspect it would even more so with your white finish).

How is the Capristo at idle compared to the Tubi?

Both sound great to me at WOT.

The Tubi has a bit more bass/boom and had some minor drone (do others agree?) and the Capristo Sound 3 was quiet at idle IMO and I have yet to experience any drone. I am curious how much lounder the Capristo Sound 2 is compared to 3...

There are a lot of Tubi owners here so I suspect they can provide a more accurate description on how it sounds at idle.

Capristo makes a Sound 1/3 and a special order Sound 2/3

Both are the same volume when the valve opens under full throttle.

The sound 1/3 is more quiet than a tubi at less than 6000 rpm. I agree the tubi has a little drone but it's not really bad. The capristo has no drone.

The sound 2/3 is almost identical in volume to the tubi until over 6000 rpm. The tubi can turn up to a 9 or 10. The capristo can turn up to a 12 under full gas... Amazing and the way to go. No drone.

I think the sound 1/3 will disappoint you at idle to 4000 rpm in particular.

Just go straight for the Capristo sound 2/3 with that special order. It is perfect. High pitched old F1 scream.

    Robb

I was hoping Robb would chime in. I would love to hear a Capristo sound 2/3 one day!

It is also good to note Robb, that your Tubi was the old style with single outlet dual tips, and not a separate pathway and individual exit for the bypass. That style exhaust is loud at idle, but doesnt get much louder as the revs rise, kind of anticlimactic.

I have driven both Tubi, the standard like you had and the Tubi Evolution which I own. The Evolution is a 12 sound on the bypass and is crazy loud with a very nice pitch, the downside of the Tubi on both the standard and evolution I have found is in the exhaust packing that makes the idle very loud and it drones around 3-4000 rpm with cats, hi flow cats and straight pipes.

Id be keen to hear a Capristo 2/3 in person. If it has no drone and is not offensive at idle than it truly is the sweet spot.

I have a stage 2 capristo and absolutely love it. It is not obnoxious at idle or even at "regular" driving conditions, but once you get on it it certainly screams....

The original race tubi is a little quieter however there is no drone (with hyperflow cats & bypass valve) in the city or highway.....
further it is civil when it needs to be .....ie cruising or idling in traffic & strong at w.o.t..
With an exhaust it all depends on what you are looking for.....or how much noise you are seeking.......

Larini has a higher pitch scream, I find. Behind one is miserable. In front, not so bad. ;)

I purchased the Capristo Sound 1/3. I really wanted a calm idle since I take the car out at night often times.

Congrats I really like it in white, was trying to find one a couple of months back but no findings.

My favourite colour on the F355 is Black, White and Lemans Blue.
