Does anyone have any ideas of where to check before I take it in for repair?

The roof is stuck closed, there is a symbol on the dash of the car with the roof open that is flashing.
The switch in the centre console for the roof is lit up
when I drive over 20 mph the buzzer from the dash comes on , and when I slow down to under 20 mph it goes off
I checked the hydraulic fluid with the roof up, and the fluid level is right in the centre of the bubble
I tried the reset switch under the trunk, left it off overnight, with no results
When I try to raise the roof, with the engine running, both doors closed, hand brake on, and me in the drivers seat. the only thing that happens is both windows go down and then the beeping from the alarm and nothing else. What should I do?

P.s do you have to have your seatbelt on when you raise the roof?

    Regards

The roof will operate without seat belts, with or without the hand brake, and with passenger doors open or closed. It will not operate if the engine cover is open, but you'd get a warning light for that.

Have you checked the hydraulic fluid level with the roof in its current position?

Have you tried holding the roof switch in the open position for an extended time, like 30 seconds.

It could be a position sensor switch problem, which may or may not be intermittent.

I'd wager a mal-aligned roof switch. Check fuses as well..

I've checked the fluid level and with the roof closed it is in the centre of the bubble. I've also checked the 3 fuses behind the drivers seat, I'm not sure if there are any others to check or if there is a relay to check (I cant understand how there is a 30 amp fuse to the roof motor without a relay) I've tried holding the switch for extended time.
How can I check to see if the micro switches are proper with the roof in the closed position?
Is there a way to open it manually?

    Thanks again

The 20mph buzzer means the car thinks the roof is partially open. That points to a faulty microswitch somewhere.

Good luck. Let us know what the real issue was once you figure it out.

There is a way to manually open the roof listed in the WSM manual.

Is there a WSM on line , specifically with a wiring diagram of the roof operation?

yes, but it beeps like crazy and the open roof sign is constantly lit. I'm curious to know if anyone else had the same issue. Started a threat a little earlier, had over 100 views and no response.
