Headlight Covers

i did the same thing- zero response. Except that i got an email video from them on their firm…but no response re the light covers.

 

Have you tried google translate? Easiest way to translate English to Italian and vice versa. It's accurate enough and I'm sure you'll get the covers in quicker time.

I assume tx stands for Texas. Just moved from Austin to Bay Area in California last week.

To answer your question, I've been doing a lot of reading and am trying to decide whether to put headlight covers on my GT. I just downloaded this app called Tapatalk and I saw the comment box and decided to go for it! Lol

The convex covers, which follow the line of the car give me butterflies in my stomach. Yes, it may not be factory original but I can't help how I feel! However, the only thing that holds me back is making holes in the body.

I'm a dino newbie and I look forward to continuing to learn more from everyone on this forum

The bezel is light and elegant and goes with the rest of the bright details on a Dino. The section of the headlamp cover is too flat though. Doesn't follow the contour of the fender (at least from the angle shown).

I agree, the perspex cover is too flat, it's not a Brandoli set, which I think everyone agrees is the best shaped covers for the Dino. The chrome bezel was just a trial anyway, just to see if I liked the look or not.

I think the bezel add a finishing touch to the overall look.
After close to 17 years of Dino ownership, I've also decided to change things up a bit.
I just took delivery of a set of repro Campys and new XWX's.
I also contacted Brandoli and they made me a set of headlight covers, which are now ready for delivery.
I'm presently considering all the various mounting options to try and find the least intrusive one.
I'm open to all suggestions, except "don't do it"
As you can see in the second picture, the "Chairs' color combo on my car was not offered by the factory, so I guess I'm technically not a purist.

Looking great! I encourage you to keep going! Maybe you can figure out a way to use the bezel trim to hold the lense so it doesn't have to be drilled and then create tabs with the bezel trim at the top that secures to the headlamp ring like an Alfa Spider headlamp cover. The lower area maybe secured with a hidden super magnet?

I would love to install covers, but two things discourage me. My car is a US car with the upright turn indicators (someone please develop a bolt-on flush alternative). And yhe I would hate to drill and remove even that tiny bit of old metal!

I think along with tabs on the headlamp end and possibly a mounting location that uses the outboard screw of the front turn signal as an attachment for a small attaching hook. Would be interesting to try as it wouldn't require any holes drilled or non-reversible mods. I think that's also possible on U.S. front signals by coming through where the signal lens meets the body. Photo is what I believe Pininfarina intended.

Freeman, The more oval grille and absence of vent windows, along with the headlight covers of this PF 206 GT prototype, are the ideal Dino setup, in my opinion. Thanks for posting this beautiful photo. Fred
