In the description of the Lot 353 Coys writes: "First registered in Germany in May 1986..."

But the MOT-History gives the info: Date first used 15 January 1986.

So it is a car probably built at the end of the year 1985 and first registered in France, as per the yellow fog lights, in the above-mentioned date.

Wrong side lights appear fitted during the "full restoration".

I'd like to know other info about this car as I begin to be interested if the eBay seller eventually accept a lowered offer.

I'm really quite surprised that the auction ended with such a low price when European prices on these guys seem to be strong

Selling prices are high, but do they sell???
IMHO wouldn't bid high on a car without seeing it. Many off them on the market at the moment...

Many thanks for the factory internal info about this 412.

So there wasn't a former French registration (as I wrongly supposed), but the car appears delivered in Germany well before the date of first registration.

Perhaps the date 15 January 1986 written in the MOT-History is the date when the Certificate of Origin was issued.

    --------------------
p.s. I've checked the info from DVLA and DVSA for several UK cars but I haven't got a satisfactory reason for the difference between the date of first registration and the date first used reported in their separate details.
Perhaps some UK reader can explain the source from where the DVSA gets the date first used in their MOT-History, also for cars originally registered abroad.

While the eBay auction is ended, the car is now offered as Lot 347 at "The Restoration Show Sale 2016" (Birmingham - March 06) --> 1987 Ferrari 412i - Silverstone Auctions.
